Jarrett Stidham is impressing against SEC defenses, do you think Jarrett Stidham would get the same love if he were still in Baylor?

As much as we need a top guy, we need THE GUY more importantly.

Having a top 3 pick guarantees us nothing.

Of course we need THE GUY, and not just "any guy." That goes without saying.

The only guarantees in life are death and taxes.

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/syndic...aft-matt-millers-updated-projections.amp.html

Matt Miller still has Josh Allen going top 5, to the Chargers at 5. Rosen told 3 to the Giants, 49ers passing on a QB at 2 for Barkley and Mason Rudolph going at 8 to the Cardinals.

    Matt Miller
    - Darnold comes out and goes #1 to the Browns
    - 49ers sign Cousins & take Barkley
    - Rosen goes 3 to the Giants
    - JOSH ALLEN #4 to the Chargers
    - MASON RUDOLPH #8 to the Cardinals

We take an edge rusher at 26, although I believe he used the current order.

He's an idiot if he thinks Allen will be selected before the 4th, and both he and Rudolph in the top 10.

Well, he's an idiot in general.

It's too early to project where the QB's will be in the pecking order. If Rosen goes to the Giants it's going to be a screaming time for Jets fans.

Screaming time for the fans that want to see the franchise tank. If the Giants get Rosen, good for them. Jets continue to build the roster and a QB like most years will drop and be available.

    He might.

The complaint about Baylor under Art Briles (aside from the rape culture) was that his RPO-oriented offense didn't develop NFL-ready qbs (no huddles, single reads, etc.). New coach Matt Rhule's combining a more physical pro-style attack he ran at Temple along with a spread attack that OC Jeff Nixon picked up from Chip Kelly (while with the Niners).

Ah so that explains why he transferred. I think his stock definitely increased because he's playing well against the SEC defenses.

He transferred because Art Briles the coach who recruited him got fired.

yes but some of us have been using this idea for the last 30 or so years and the QB has not dropped in our lap.

They had a shot in the past years ... the Jets simply did not take advantage of that opportunity. Derek Carr should be on the Jets right now.

What's the scouting report on today? Looked to have struggled late? 9 for 26?

Will Grier looked lile a beast today operating the WVU offense. This rate he's a first round pick and will rise late.

The Auburn offense lacks intermediate throws/routes and his WRs struggle getting separation. It's either short or deep; which is a complete waist of his arm talent and accuracy. I hate that offense for his skill set. He's still my guy though. Morton would work wonders with this kid.
