This was a reach even for him, the dork who tweeted early in the Jets/Bills game, "Breaking News! Jets crossed midfield!" I'm sure he somehow thinks this was a newsworthy point to bring up. I wonder what kept him from cheap-shotting Fitzpatrick in TB. http://www.espn.com/blog/new-york-j...hing-in-common-with-former-team-a-week-1-loss
I admonished him on Twitter during the game. Then I unfollowed him. While I don't need Jets news sugar coated, I do expect more from my team's beat reporter than jokes and wisecracks. We all know what we are dealing with this year, and while I expect snide remarks from the un-witty Dolphins and Giants fans in the warehouse (not this week) I certainly do not need them from the guy who's being paid to cover the team.
Maybe I misread this link, but I didn't see any snide or snarky remarks anywhere. Maybe just on Twitter perhaps??
It's piling on, quite unnecessary. You should be able to see that. What former Jets players do on other teams has no bearing or reflection on the Jets. Everyone knows why the team dumped its veterans, it's not news. An article like that is akin to opening a can of tuna and claiming you went fishing. But maybe that's just me.
I saw his midfield remark on the ESPN site during the game. There may be an archive of them, but why?
Let's be honest, Jets' beat writer is the easiest job in the world. He could get his laptop to auto-submit a "Jets were shit" article every Sunday night and only ever get called out on it if we were playing on Monday.
I wonder if Cimini or the beat writer for the Giants was bashing the Giants who couldn't get anything going on offense whatsoever. I'm pretty sure they didn't cross midfield until the 3rd quarter. Cimini is a moron and should have been fired with the large group earlier this year. At least the Jets scored a touchdown. Cimini just bashes the Jets because it's the cool thing to do. We already knew going in the Jets are in a rebuilding year. Dude's just a prick.
I do not blame him for bashing this team. Run the idiots out of town. Anyone that signs off on doubling dips on safety in the 2nd instead of drafting dynamic play makers should be stoned.
Practically no Safeties can single handledly win you games. RBs do all the time. Having two really good safeties is like having 2 really good 3-4 DEs. Got us no where.
this guy is the Jim Acosta of sports media...not sure why anyone follows him or takes him seriously when he has such a disdain for the team he covers
Safety play is huge in the NFL, it will help put corners in the correct spots and can help cover the deficiencies of the group as well. I hope in time, we can have Adams do the same exact stuff Berry does right now in terms of shutting down TEs and in the slot.
I wanted Fournette ...bad. He wasn't there so I was good with Adams. Now..that 2nd Safety pick... Unless he becomes the 2nd Coming of Ed Reed It's very difficult to justify that 2nd pick..
Yea that was a perplexing pick. Especially in a league that encourages so much ridiculous offense. Having two great safeties doesn't mean what it used to back in the day. Heck it's not even the same as it was when Reed/Polamalu were in their primes. It's just so damn hard to defend the pass. Of course you should strive for a balanced team, but in a playmaker league loading up on those has to be a top priority. Where the heck did building that beastly D-Line with Sheldon-Mo-Snacks-Harrison get us. We signed the wrong guy who doesn't even care. You can't win games with just a D line
