I'm sure he didn't want to spend it running up the centre on 1st and 2nd down, like all of last season, it does look like his legs have gone to me though, Powell if made the out right number one back and given 75% + of all the hand offs will be in the medical room before October, he is to fragile to be a main runner, he also always looks better coming down the stretch, making everybody wonder why he wasn't used more earlier in the season.
he looked slooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow getting to the LS and even when he was out in a swing pass he was covered . The problem is the OL gets no push and while I think the guards are ok - not great - our tackles suck. They will get eaten alive by Oak this week. It's going to be real ugly... real fast.
That's why I said to trade him for someone else's equally bloated contract. Someone has to have an overpaid kick returner that they want to unload.
They're stubborn, they don't think Powell can handle being an every down back just like they refuse to go off the Hack > Petty narrative.
I disagree. Yes, they'd lose a million in cap space, but they have a ton of room. He's toast. McGuire has shown some potential. There also has to be a veteran RB that's sitting at home or on some team's PS that's better than Forté. The only way it makes sense to keep him imo is if the Jets truly are tanking.
Bingo, well done you got it right. http://onlineslangdictionary.com/meaning-definition-of/bingo interjection exclamation used when someone has expressed the correct answer to a question or quandary.
those of you chirping about forte need to realize the OL is not what it should be and opposing defenses laugh at our passing game..... forte is a smooth, patient runner who never really attacked the holes and like to set up the blocks. powell is more aggressive in attacking the holes and has relatively better success. imagine if the OL was better, both runners would compliment it nicely.
Thanks. That's what I thought you meant, but there were other gifs on that page, so I wasn't 100% certain that's what you meant.
Imagine if we had a better OL, a FQB, a decent young RB, star WR's and a competent special teams. Jets superbowl winners 2018, imagine that
After Sunday, too bad we couldn't pull lynch out of retirement. dude ran like a beast. Still injuries and all i'd just keep him but give powell the majority of the work. I did like maguire in preseason but at least you can count on powell and forte to not fumble. Don't know about maguire yet. also with so many young people some experience in the huddle is nice to have. forte gives McCown a much more trusted option then maguire can. also we don't know if he can pick up blitzes either
