Guys, we all know what they're facing down there so, lets keep them in our thoughts and prayers. I would really appreciate it if all of our Florida members in the path of Irma stay safe and check in if and when you find time. Lets us know you guys are ok.. Good luck and if they say evac, get the hell outta there ASAP!!
Ditto. I have a close friend who lives in a condo complex in Boca Raton. Waiting for a text back to see if they're just gonna err on the side of caution and leave without getting official word in either direction. Miami/Tampa canceled, not mind boggling there. I mention it only because who gives a rat's ass about football. Stay safe all. That's an order.
I'm worried. I'm in St.Pete and this storm is heading right for St.pete and Tampa. This part of the west coast hasn't been hit directly in almost 100 years. What's scary is my city of st.pete is the only city in Florida that's a pinincuila being surrounded by 3 bodies of water. Up until yesterday all of TB was relaxed. Nothing to worry about. Everyone was saying it's going to attack Miami or the East coast like Orlando. It never comes to us. Not since almost 100 years ago. Now. It's heading west and looking like our luck has ran out. It's coming and many of us were left with little time to prepare to evacuate. I know me and my family will be o.k but I'm still worried.
It put it in jaywayne's thread, but Irma has been further downgraded to a tropical storm. What a turn of events. Still getting lashed with heavy rains and wind, but not nearly the catastrophe it could've been. Not much of a comfort to those who lost everything or damn near it, but probably hundred of lives spared because luckily nature decided to let up a little.
And on top of it all WB, I hope you're still not wrestling with that Rube Goldberg contraption anymore... be well .
No, the breaker was repaired a while back. While we made out ok, after we got back home and everything situated, we took a drive around the neighborhood and some houses were torn apart. Friends on the east coast all without power but my kids in pinellas county have power. Winds up here are hampering repairs so may be slower to get power back. I was able to get a hot shower out of the remaining hot water in the water heater at least East side of county has major flooding and more downed trees than west side. All in all i can't complain
