Lol. Dewayne Robertson. Such horrible memories. It was a well received pick too but wasn't his knee pretty much shot straight out of college?

yea, degenerative condition, never was worth the 2 picks we gave up to draft him. although he had some good years and was better than he gets credit for

AGREED. A 4-3 base defense would have worked much better for the defense last season. But you're forgetting Toilet refused to utilize a 4-3 base, he'd rather play an excellent DE as a stand up OLB.

Now we got 2 of them. Got rid of one and then they traded to get him back. Only the Jets do stuff like that. Its tragic and comical.

I was never a fan of the Lee and Hack picks day 1. That is also why I'm not in favor of these same guys handling the tank job. Just because you have more picks does not mean you'll get it right (See Idzik).

Problem was that he wasn't Sapp yet he was drafted to fix the mistake of not drafting Sapp. He was a decent player but he wasn't worth where we selected him and traded to get there.

No way. Colin Cowherd gave that pick a bad grade and laughed his fuckin ass off while he was at it so that's that. Just wait till Adams misses a tackle Sunday! The obvious choice was Mahomes!

Colin the Pat loving draft wizard, I'm sure he had Brady as a first rounder back in the day.
Hope the kid Adam has an interception in his first game.

  14. DRob & Vilma were arguably the best players on the D when Mangini first took over. I will never understand the decision to switch to a 3-4.Our personnel didn't fit it & its proven to be extremely difficult to find 3 down linebackers & even harder to find a pass rusher.

If he didn't like Herm's cover 2,he could've changed thing up in the back 7.He didn't need to drastically change the entire scheme. While they had holes the pieces were there to build around.

DRob actuallly played some very good games at NT..but his narrow base, short arms & the knee condition didn't make for a long term fixture at that spot.

Did we end up answering the initial question?

    It's because he sucks.

Oh god now we're paying attention to Colin Cowherds draft grades..lol..you can mark my words if the Jets spent 2 1st round picks on Mahomes like the Chiefs did or took him in the top 5 the Jets would have gotten hammered...the only reason that pick wasn't criticized or people liked it is because Andy Reid took him...some people get the benefit of the doubt...the easy thing to do is just laugh at whatever the Jets do.

Lee was one of the better players today so stop the witch hunt. I felt the LB corps was the best unit today. Of course Lee got beat a few times and Davis did as well but they did well cleaning up the crappy mess the defensive line made. Leonard was pretty much himself. Pennel was in the action a bit and Ealy was solid as well. Mo Wilk was nowhere to be found. McLendon was got blown off the ball a few times. the Bills (who still boast one of the better offensive lines) owned the LOS. Davis was solid, Lee was too and Martin was REALLY good.

Davis had 14 total tackles, 8 solo, .5 sack, QB hit
Lee had 10 total tackles, 7 solo, sack, FL
Martin had 5 total tackles, 4 solo, 3 for loss, QB hit
