    EDIT: http://nypost.com/2017/05/18/speeding-car-mows-down-pedestrians-in-times-square/

A driver speeding the wrong way up Seventh Avenue plowed into pedestrians in Times Square, killing at least one person and injuring 18 others, law enforcement sources said.

The motorist was identified by police sources as Richard Rojas, a 26-year-old Bronx resident with two prior DWIs. He was taken into police custody after the crash.

The motorist reportedly drove the wrong way up Seventh Avenue for up to three blocks, hitting several people along the way before crashing into a pole at 45th Street and Broadway, police and witnesses said. A witness whose office conference room overlooks Times Square said she saw up to six people lying on the ground after the crash.

When the car finally crashed into a pole, the driver got out of the vehicle and tried to run away, according to witnesses. He punched a police officer before several cops were able to apprehend him, witnesses said.

Photos show pedestrians lying in the street, and one person covered with a bloodstained blanket on the sidewalk.

I can see this being some drunk/high dude if he lost control, jumped the curb and hit a few people. This character, however, knew exactly what he was doing. This looked similar to what we had seen in Europe on quite a few occasions.

Seems like a case of a mentally disturbed vet with PTSD who might have been trying to commit suicide by cop

Leaping to the terrorism conclusion is just as illogical as discounting it immediately.

And of course it is terroristic, just apparently not in any orchestrated international sense of the word which is what appears to be what you're getting at with the "Comrade" comment. I'm sure DeBlasio made his comments after consulting with law enforcement.

so what was it. Was he high thinking he was playing GTA IV in Star Junction, did he know exactly what he was doing, PTSD, crazy? Is there any update to this story or is it still too early to reach a conclusion?

Right. You think law enforcement knew within an hour or so that it wasn't terrorism? If I remember correctly the San Bernardino attack was initially labeled as workplace violence. If this is indeed terrorism, they will state so only if there's overwhelming leaked evidence and they can't hide it anymore. But back to the Times Square attack, the guy apparently stated that he wanted to "kill them all."

haha yeah what a joke. They don't know, the guy could easily have been trying to mow down infidels to land his 13 virgins

Exactly. I firmly believe that within an hour or so the cops and feds knew who this guy was, his prior run-ins with law enforcement, his military record, his airline use for the past ten years and what he had for lunch. It is to their benefit to determine very quickly if this is a drugged up crackpot on the loose or stage one of multiple organized terrorist attacks.

I also saw a quote relating to "kill them all" but I wasn't as easily terrorized as some it seems.
