5.5 according to Yardbarker. Here's the rest... https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nf...otals-for-2017/ss-BBATjGS?li=BBnb7Kz#image=24
Sunshiner I actually think some young guys will bring the missing hustle this year's. That might translate into a couple of extra wins.
I'm usually pretty optimistic around this time of year, so I think 6 sounds about right.... that means it will probably be closer to 2.
Yeah, I think 4 Then again... Maybe everything breaks Jets way: safeties manufacture TOs. Hack is phenomenal and his no-OL at Penn helps him here, WRs are catching.... Than 14 and SB.
Yeah. Maybe everything will break the Jets' way and they will win 7 games. If that happens with Hack at QB and he develops, then I am fine with it. If it's with McCown, then that will be a disaster. It will be just enough "success" to take put them into the middle of the first round of the 2018 draft and lose out on a franchise QB, again. I'm hoping for 2-4 win season. Jets fans need to stop thinking year to year and start thinking about building future perennial success. And I am 57 and have been at this with this team for 50 years. I'm willing to wait 2-3 years for a rebuild and so should all of us.
mccown is 2-22 in his last 24. no way we are winning 7 with him. so i am hoping hack can show enough to keep us respectable at minimum. once that dream is dead i will switch gears to rooting for the tank
Such in-depth analysis by the author! Let's see, "yardbarker" that's a description of a "dog" isn't it? I'd say the caliber of analysis is befitting that of a canine.
I only see 2 good chances at wins this year. If everything falls in place and either Petty or Hack prove to be their QB of the future, I possibly could see as many as 4-6 wins. Since when does everything fall in place for this team?
Our schedule is ridiculously hard once again. 5-6 wins sounds about right at best. However, any given Sunday. When the media shits on this team we end up surprising. When they hype us up we fall flat. Nearly everyone thinks the Jets are the worst team in the league right now. I think we could end up surprising. Who knows.
Even with both rookie QBs in Sanchez & Geno, those teams managed to win games. I'd rather take my chances with a young 2nd year kid in Hackenberg (who has an arm and great size). Just to see what we drafted last year To me. In regards to over/under wins; it's all about our 3rd year defense under Bowles and company. Will our defensive line come back to life and dominate? Will D.Lee come into his own @ MLB behind our defensive front? Will coach Kevin Greene create an exciting atmosphere amongst our Linebackers unit? Will our two SEC rookie Safety's out of LSU & FL (especially Adams) change the culture of our secondary? Have our younger CB's matured at all? Etc. This 2017 Jets team will go as far as our defense can take us. Now if Hackenberg can impress as a 1st year starter alongside of a bunch of talented young receivers? Then we could be talking about a young team who's able to compete. As far as overall team wins and loses? I truthfully have no idea. I can't even think of a prediction to come up with. But that's not my concern. I'm more focused on individual player performance. I also wanna see coach Bowles improve upon his situational decision making. I just wanna know more about this team come this time next offseason. From Bowles all the way down to Hackenberg; i just wanna have fun playing couch G.M.
Josh McCown is 3 for 3 in bringing his team a top 2 pick over the last 3 seasons if he was the opening day starter. Only the Jets could screw this up at this point. We can have a QB or a windfall in picks or we can win 4-6 games and be the Same Ol' Jets. If the Jets win a sloppy game one next year I'd fire Todd Bowles on the spot.
Next year could be the year where we have 3 qb's going in the top 5 and the jets better be in the mix. Less than 4 wins will do it so 3-13 is my vote. Now whether thats good enough for #1 or #4 i have no idea. This could be a kotite like display with a decent roster in spots only to play down in record like we did in 95 and 96. We were not very good but we were not a 4-29 roster. We had a 4-29 coach, staff, and GM.
