Conforto had to sit out with a hamstring two days ago, at what point do you start blaming the training staff??? This is UNREAL. I have never before seen so many injuries to the team, and it is not just this year. Serious question, why haven't heads rolled yet? You can not blame all of this on bad luck, somebody or even a group of people are not doing their jobs. Opinions on this?

100% on the training staff. It's pathetic

I've never seen anything like it. Someone needs to be held accountable, this is not simply bad luck.

this is nothing new, been happening since well before 2008. I've heard people say Jeff Wilpon is actually the correlating factor

Remember how we handled Ryan Church's concussion? That guy could probably sue the team.

The Mets at this point should just write off the year and get these pitchers healthy. The team still should be good for a long time with DeGrom, Syndergaard, Wheeler, and Matz in the fold. Next year Harvey will be fighting for the 5th spot in the rotation with Lugo to start the year.

On offense they can build around Conforto, Rosario, Cespedes, and Dominic Smith.

The Mets should take this opportunity to fire the entire coaching staff

This win felt more like a loss. Not going to win many games like that. Anybody with eyes can see this team is going absolutely nowhere. Half way through May and the season is over. Please don't fool yourselves and sell at the deadline.

Couldn't agree more. They should have fired the entire medical / training staff years ago. It's simply unacceptable. I get that injuries happen, but this is far beyond that. It's almost all of our best players every year, it can't be coincidence, based on how many there have been. Something they are doing is not working.

It continues, now Cabrera and Conforto , and Cespedes with another injury!!! My god, when is somebody going to connect the dots? Does anybody actually believe this is just "bad luck"? Sure every team has injuries but not like this.

Sorry, Im going nuts! Harvey and Walker out now??? Why isn't everybody talking about this medical staff? This should be a national headline, this has got to be a record number of injuries and this is not a new trend. How is nobody being held accountable?

It's so aggravating. You think of how good this team could be if the players stayed healthy, but it's like a revolving door.

Help me get this straight. The Trainer is a personal friend of Jeffy Wilpon so he's untouchable. Almost the entire pitching staff and key personnel keep getting injured but no one except Ron Darling has the balls to say something? The Mets not bringing up Rosario because of the "Super 2" rule or is he eligible? Not sure WTF is going on but once again, it looks like Met Mgmt. is its own worst enemy. If they're not careful, they'll turn into the Knicks but if they sellout every home game while losing, I have a feeling the Wilpons would make that trade in a NY second.

There must be 110 million reasons why Cespedes hasn't been benched yet..

So do the Mets trade everyone now? It seems silly to hold on to everyone. They need to retool like the Yankees did unless they feel that with a healthy pitching staff next year their window is still open.

Trade Duda, Bruce, Neil Walker, and Addison Reed. Trade Reyes if anyone wants him and Cabrera as well. Pull up Rosario and Dominic Smith and retool the system with youthful position players.

This is a lesson for the rest of Major League Baseball. You don't build through youthful pitching, because in this day in age with all the pitching injuries, it does not lead to sustainable success.

The World Series loss is heartbreaking. But I feel
like the Mets should've went all in and tried to add another bat that year in order to try to win in their short window. They believed because of the ages of all their good young starters that's the window was much larger than it was. Now it's basically closed.

If Frazier pans out, you will have an example
of this with the Yankees having a core of Sanchez, C. Frazier, Judge and Didi for at least the next five years. That's with a rotation that's an absolute mess with little youth. But they'll remain competitive.

The Mets went the other way with pitching. And they're all falling apart.

Reyes just became the 39th MLB player to steal 500 bases.

    Highlight of the Mets season.
