Or maybe Brady's defense kept him in the game and maybe Rodgers's defense couldn't get a stop? ... because that's what happened. After all, NE's defense is what gave Brady two chances to drive down the field to force over time/ Brady should have also had two picks(maybe 3) in that fourth quarter and OT but he was bailed out by Edelman/ Vic Beasley. Brady wasn't the one who prevented the blowout from happening... he did everything in his power to throw that game away in Sunday.

Also, if you think Rodgers doesn't manipulate defenses in the pocket even close to Brady, then I have to question if you understand what you're watching or if you're just simply buying into narratives. I wonder how Jason Garret feels about that statement? The narrative was going to be built one or another for Brady if his team won. He's one of the all time greats, but to use Sunday's game as the case to cement is a joke. He sucked on Sunday. If team accomplishments is a big part of your criteria for GOAT, then he might be the GOAT. But there's a distinction to be made between the GOAT and BOAT. To me GOAT considers longevity/ some team accomplishments and individual accolades. BOAT to me is who the better player was not considering the incompleteness of his career. And to me Rodgers is better than Brady(especially) or Manning ever were as players.

Brady and Belichick are far superior to Montana and Walsh by far.

Agreed. It's much more difficult to keep a dynasty going in the free agency era.

It's also much easier to play QB in a league that protects the offense as much as they do. Current roughing the passer and pass interference penalties would be laughed at in the 80's.

Not sure what that has to do with building a dynasty?

Montana was able to play with the same great offensive and defensive players throughout their whole run, while the Pats have had to rebuild on the move and let many of their best leave because of the cap.

If there's a God in heaven it'll be a Jet that delivers that blow to Brady.

Yep! Mo Lewis all over again. Jimmy G steps in and leads the Pats under new HC McDaniel to another 15 years of winning! ;-)

might just be worth it. Joe Montana used to torment Giants fans until Leonard Marshall hospitalized him. I think I could live with that. You learn to appreciate small victories where you can find them if you root for the Jets. You wouldn't understand

OH I understand all too well. Before my 41st birthday the Pats had only 3 half decent kicks at the can among a sea of 2 to 6 win seasons. Every time they looked like they were gonna become a good franchise, something ridiculous managed to happen.

The 1st kick we got jobbed against the Raiders and Fairbanks jumped ship back to college. 2nd kick they got embarrassed by the Bears after Fryar got sliced by his wife SB week and Tony Collins and a bunch of his pals went on a coke bender in Miami after the AFCCG. The 3rd kick our coach was negotiating to become the Jets honcho superbowl week.
