Let the games begin. Auston Matthews has 2 goals on 2 shots and really there are no words to describe his 2nd goal to tie the game.
Matthews now first player ever with 4 goals in his first NHL game. Each goal has been different and he is always in great position. Toronto hit the jackpot and so has Team USA

I make this thread every year. I was hoping someone else would and that it would give the Caps a different end result. Haha. Speaking of the Caps, home opener tonight. If they put up Banners for being Metro Champs, East regular season champs and President's Trophy right after being in Pittsburgh and watching them put up the only banner that matters, I am going to shake my head. I am sure they will though.
Islanders will be 0-2 after tonight, I hope it's a good game but Caps are much better than the Isles. JT is all the isles have, isles looked slow against the rangers, they will look slower tonight against the caps. I know many will disagree with me for having this perspective, but I hope the Islanders have a terrible start to the year so Capuano can get fired, he is terrible and can't wait to see him go.
yeah, I understand he will play for Team USA but it sucks that an awesome american hockey player has to go to Canada and play for the Maple Laffs. at least we still got Jack Eichel. he will kick ass for USA in the olympics and in the NHL
McDavid fuckin amazing. Oil 4-1 start, but I don't expect it to continue haha. Don't play good enough defense. I like the addition of Kris Russell tho
Went to the Flyers/Ducks game last night. Really entertaining. Back and forth fight and despite committing a ridiculous amount of penalties, Ducks still pulled off three goals for the win.
Montreal got shit on 10-0. Al Montoya gives up all 10. Didn't watch the game, saw the box score, I have no idea wtf happened there but that's FUCKED
I'm sure they kept Montoya in there to send a message to the team. These guys aren't perfect and Columbus execution was great tonight
Headed to Pens-Caps tonight. Should be fun. The Penguins started trolling early: Sadly, it's the truth.
Coming off a 4-2 loss in Toronto, the Caps were SHUT OUT by Halak and the Isles at home tonight 3-0. Haven't see the Caps look this bad in a couple years. Hope it doesn't last. Currently batting 1.000 in sports teams.
