As someone new to baseball, what's the big deal with bat flipping? Sent from my SM-N910U using Tapatalk
Maybe I'm spoiled with Gary, Keith, and Ron, but the ESPN sunday night crew, except for Jessica Mendoza, is lousy. Shulman and Boone suck. Gimme Jon Miller....anybody.... and just Jessica Mendoza. Shulman and Boone are dry toast... so boring
Some of the older-school players think it's showing them up. It's not that different from people getting all up in arms over Cam Newton doing his dances after every TD.
Really? I think Jessica Mendoza is painful, and not just because she's a girl. She just gets shut out of the conversation all the time because she doesn't know what to say and then she'll feel pressured to talk and interject with the most irrelevant or obvious bullshit. "That hit had to feel great guys."
I like her 'cause she's a girl. The whole thing sucks. At least she's attractive. But I'd rather listen to her all night than those other two. They're brutal. I can't listen to it. My attention perks up when she's involved tho. Then again I'm spoiled, I watch almost all the Met games and they have the best booth in MLB.
http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/m...-players-involved-in-the-bautista-odor-fight/ - Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor has received an eight-game suspension for fighting, including punching Toronto's Jose Bautista, during the top of the eighth inning; - Blue Jays pitcher Jesse Chavez has received a three-game suspension for intentionally throwing at Prince Fielder of the Rangers in the bottom of the eighth inning, with warnings in place for both sides; - Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus has received a one-game suspension for his aggressive actions during the incident; - Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista has received a one-game suspension for his actions during the incident and for his postgame comments. Furthermore, Blue Jays manager John Gibbons was suspended three games for coming back out onto the field after being ejected earlier in the game. Toronto first base coach Tim Leiper was suspended one game for his actions as well. Odor and Bautista have appealed their suspensions. Chavez and Andrus have not.
It's saying something when you make Roughned Odor look calm and collected but Yordano Ventura's an even bigger nutcase.
Ventura looked like he really didn't want any more of Machado after the initial exchange. He was just trying to act like he wanted him some more. It's a good thing for him Machado didn't get back at him. Machado is a really good player too. I was surprised to see he's at SS too
http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mlb/lincecum-embraces-a-second-chance-with-angels/ar-AAhfTfm A white cap on backward, Tim Lincecum stopped to pet the bomb-sniffing dogs in the parking lot before greeting the workers at the security entrance who warmly welcomed him back to the Oakland Coliseum. ''Thanks, guys, how are ya?'' the pitcher said with a smile. Minutes later, Lincecum walked into a familiar clubhouse to meet his new team, joining the Los Angeles Angels after a quick minor league tour to find his timing 9 1/2 months after left hip surgery. The two-time NL Cy Young Award winner will be formally promoted from Triple-A on Saturday to make his debut with Los Angeles against the Athletics, and he is grateful for another chance a few days after turning 32 and nearly a year after his last appearance in the majors. And it just so happens he returns to the mound in the Bay Area where he is still so beloved, even across the water in Oakland from his former San Francisco ballpark.
James Shields with another ungodly horrible start today. He's really gone downhill since the Bartolo Colon HR.
Chris Sale didn't want to wear White Sox throwbacks tonight and decided to cut up every single players uniform before the game. He was sent home. Lmao, wtf?? Does this increase or decrease the chances of him being traded?
Hey what happened to Italian Seafood? Did he move forums or something to the other forum? Big game for Dodgers fans tomorrow.
