Yep. I got a similar feeling about a third of the way into last season as I got in '83-84 when you could see they were turning the corner. In '86-'88 the city was all Mets. The energy was fantastic.
Lol tips from Yankee fans. It's like a Pats fans saying "small tip for you Jets fans. The playoffs are much more enjoyable when your team wins". _
Exactly, I have never seen such a butthurt fanbase ever since the Mets went on a tear last year. They are SO on the defensive ever since.
You can't enjoy the ride unless the destination is nirvana, right? For decades I questioned myself but now I realize I would hate to be a Yankee fan. _
I hate to say it, but I don't really see the Mets winning the world series or even getting back to it this year. I even have doubts about them winning the division if our pitching doesn't become dominant again, but who gives a shit. What can I do? Just enjoy the ride, they have a better shot at winning a championship this year than most, so I'm going to have fun watching and hope they go all the way. They're a fun to watch team and I'm enjoying every minute of it. Is there any Mets fan who could say they didn't enjoy last year just because they lost the WS? Last year was the most fun I've ever had watching baseball, and that was even before the Cespedes trade. Something in the air was different last year and Mets fans went along for the ride.
Best season since 1986. That includes 2000. So much fun. And this is going to be a wild ride. Whether we win the WS or not. _
hey not this yankee fan!! thats the only team of mine that has fully delivered for me. 11 world series appearances and won 7 of them in my lifetime. they have a full lifetime pass from me to never win again, all my other teams suck the sweat off a yaks balls, jets, rangers, knicks, all scared of success. I can thoroughly handle the pinstripes sucking it right now, im fine with it.
Ok you chicks, that's enough with the hallucinations and generalizations.... which part of the gracious below from 4 days ago did you miss? v v v That aside, Syndergaard's pair of dingers (in particular, the 2nd one to left center) was equally as impressive (if not more) as Colon's poke.
