You know what was a GREAT story? When ESPN took Kris Jenkins into a gym and had him recreate his game winning shot for Nova. That was a story we should ALL care about. _
How Many different forms of media had that as it's headline story? One. Incidentally, Scherzer struck out 20 batters yesterday, which is by far the most impressive performance of any player this baseball season. The fact that is not getting any national headlines is a disgrace.
Folks have struck out 20 batters before. Somebody did it twice. No one has hit his first HR at age 42. Ever. Oh, and he's a pitcher. Oh and he's fat. Oh, and he's a Met. _
Kind off off topic but your post got me thinking Which would you rather? 20 Ks or perfect game? So many more perfect games than 20 Ks.
42 year olds don't hit home runs that often, especially pitchers. He's currently the oldest guy in the league still playing, but he's playing as good as many guys in their late 20s. It's a feel good story.
Nothing says "I don't care about something" like starting a thread about it and posting about a dozen or so times in it in less than a week.
Watch the females moisten in your mere presence when you wear "Bartolo Cologne 500" availabale at Macy's. (you know it's coming. it's in the mail if he keeps playing well like he is)
This guy cares lol http://m.mlb.com/cutfour/2016/05/11...=10156950953120078&adbpl=fb&adbpr=94421890077
20 strikeouts is harder. Perfect game is 1000x more impressive. Steve Carlton struck out 19 Mets but Ron Fucking Swoboda hit 2 home runs and beat him. As an 11 year old I was at the Seaver 19 strikeout game, last 10 in a row. We didn't realize anything until the 7th or 8th inning. I wasn't at the Seaver near perfect game but that to me was so much more impressive. _
Good. I'm not a Yankee hater but hopefully this goes on for a long long time. Mets fans deserve it. I'd like it tho if they were both good Colon was beaming after the Thor HR's last night. How great was this? Viva Colon !!
