holland in 2013/2014 was like Davis this year

holland wasn't right this year and finally underwent surgery. Probably out for 2016

Yep Davis has had a great season. But the 7-8-9 this year is much weaker with Madson in there than it was when Holland was the closer and at full strength.

That pen was pretty much the reason they went as far as they did last postseason.

Funny all I remember of Ryan Madson was a classic seven inning shutout relief appearance he pitched against us in 2006 during a 16-inning marathon with the Phillies before Beltran finally beat him with a walkoff HR.

yeah I wasn't sure that was what you meant

last year's pen definitely better than this year

the bullpen was what got KC to the WS last year and this year

The lineup is good, the starting pitching is average at best (Volquez started Game 1 of the ALCS). With Cueto struggling, they don't have anyone who could even be considered a legit #2 starter. Heck, they gave Chris Young a start in the ALCS.

Bud Black the favorite to manage the Nats. Excellent. He sucked as the Padres manager with all that talent last year. Mattingly the favorite for the Marlins job. He also sucks so things are looking up past this year

    Fuck Dusty Baker.

“We’re in a very dangerous situation,’’ Dusty Baker, 66, told USA TODAY Sports, “because people don’t really worry about what’s right, what’s wrong, or what’s fair.

A very dangerous situation is what our servicemen face overseas. It's what folks fighting Ebola last year were facing. Its what fireman and policeman face in the line of fire. It's what cancer patients face everyday.

    Fuck you with this bullshit.

So sick of this shit. Can't get the million dollar job so it now becomes "a very dangerous situation"?

    Seriously. Fuck you.

What a surprise, Dusty Baker gets the Nats job.

    Crying "racism" works.

Bonds gets the Marlins Hitting Coach job. Shit, if McGuire can be a hitting coach so can Bonds. It's odd tho. He doesn't need the money....Does he just wanna be around the game?

Say what you will. He was an all time great. He allowed himself to give in so as not to be at a competitive disadvantage of Not doing ped's. There was a period where I believe it was rampant throughout MLB, and I'll never believe that the majority, almost all off them, didn't at least try them or dabble in them.

Disgraceful performance by SD. I know that could happen to any team at any time , but to not score one run in 3 games is insane.

Just a flat out awful lineup. Doubt many people could name 1 position player of theirs other than Matt Kemp.

With that said, the Dodgers faced a much better offense today and gave up 12 runs...so I guess thats baseball lol.

Schwarber to miss the entire season.

If Bryant goes down , I might have to start believing in the curse.

They were in a tough spot playing that kid in the outfield. It was a tough route to the ball but I really think an experienced OFer avoids getting hurt on that play.

Bottom line is he needs to be on an AL team. But unfortunately for them , his value will now take a bit of a dip.

These guys still must feel like they can beat the test. 80 games doesn't seem to be a deterrent. I mean the Marlins just gave him 5 yrs $50 million extension so he wins.

So guess Texas finally got their 'revenge' for the bat flip, first plunking Bautista in his last AB today then after he took out Odor this happened...

Which of course precipated another bench-clearing brawl that also involved John Gibbons who was ejected several innings before...
