Why does it say the draft is 11 pm?
Still need 3 more, 5 would be better as I have always liked 12 team leagues, don't know if you can adjust that. Has anyone thought of mentioning the league in the Jets forum just randomly in an existing thread?

I just added an S to mine being that a team implies that it be so.

Yeah I like 2 keepers. Can't be a first rounder. You lose whatever round pick that is and can't keep a guy for consecutive years. And if it's a free agent you keep its a second rounder

Because I had to pick something. It's obviously not official. I can change anything. We just haven't worked out the details.

Why not? If you picked up Beckham last year what do you think he should be? A 15th rounder? That's just dumb. You didn't draft him. There as no skill involved in knowing he was going to be that good. You just happened to luck out and have the best waiver priority that week. if he's good enough to be your keeper off of the WW he is probably a first or second round pick.

Either way we really need to figure this out this week. The latest we can draft is Sunday night imo. I work central time until 10PM every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The 1st game of the season is Thursday. So unless you guys are cool with really late on one of those 3 nights, this upcoming Sunday makes the most sense. It's always been the best day to draft as most people have off, or don't work too late.

    Thoughts?

Also, we need ONE more guy. Fuck 10, 0r 12. We can't even get 8. So I'll be happy with that. How many keepers? It's going to be keeper, not dynasty. Will it be 2? 3? 4? I think 2 is not at all enough. I think 4 is about perfect, but the consensus here seems to be against more than 3. So I guess my vote is 3. Whatever round you get them in is what you give up? Then the round goes up by a round every year? Or just keep it in that round?

Is the roster format good? What about bench spots? Waiver wire? Vote on trades? I hate waivers, and I think voting on trades is stupid.

How about points? Is that fine how it is?

    I need responses people.

Managing your waiver wire and roster is a skill. If you don't think they should be a 15th rounder, that is fine, but they shouldn't be a second either. I'm not sure I'm even up for the keeper penalties...

I just realized I won't even be here for the draft since its labor Day weekend. I'll be down the shore until Monday night.

Anyways, in an 8 team league we need at least one flex spot. That's for sure. Keepers I say let's keep 2 players.

    I'd suggest the following:

    Draft: Sunday Night.
Need one more guy: I'll troll for one.
Keeper: I think you need 4 to be worth it, especially in an 8 team league. That means 32 players are kept. This is the equivalent of 3 in a 10 teamer. We can do escalating rounds. Another suggestion is to make keepers optional, and you can keep up to four. IE: your first keeper you lose a first round pick, your second keeper you lose a second round pick, etc. Makes it easy to keep track of, and easy for teams to rebuilt (just let everyone go and get multiple early draft picks).

    Settings:
Lets add a flex if we haven't. Maybe it should be WR,WR,RB,RB,TE,FLEX.
Lets ramp up QB scoring, seemed like a few people wanted this. 6pt TD passes, -2 for ints along with 1 pt per 20 yards tends to make QB's really valuable.
We could do two QB's (with only 8 people, it's only 16 QBs owned) but some ppl seemed to be against that.
Lets do PPR to boost TE/RB/WR too.
A new setting we should consider if it's available is 1.5 PPR for TEs. Makes more TE's other than Gronk a bit more viable.

I would second most of this as I would even do a 2 qb league since I've never done it before. I really like the 1.5 PPR for TE.

The only only thing I don't agree with his being able to keep a first round pick.

I also wouldn't mind the draft to be this Friday if possible. Other than that I won't be able to draft my team

We can always make it a superflex so you don't have to do a second QB if you don't want to.
