I know many here will panic after today's game and this dreadful start, but the year is still young with plenty of football left to play, and lots of time for TGG to get disgusted and over reactionary about.

The Jets lost three non-conference games, and their record is a discouraging 1-3. And although they haven't played great, they've been in all the games. A couple of referee calls, and a few bonehead plays away from getting a W, instead of an L. Play well in conference and good things will come. Do we have concerns? Hell yes! Is it time to consider Vick? Starting to maybe feel that way, but still not sure.

Next week in San Diego, conference game. Win that, and it's a step in the right direction as the Jets would be 2-0 in conference with all division games yet to play. I'm staying cautiously optimistic that they get their shit together and give us a year to root for.

This doesn't change the reason why people are pissed, our shit ass quarterback.

It's another year with a piece of shit quarterback.

I don't give a shit how "young" the season is. Geno Smith is not the answer and we all know it. That's what's so fuckin frustrating.

we need to go 9-3 at worst over the next 12 games to make playoffs. our next 3 opponents are the chargers, broncos and patriots. not much to be optimistic about IMO.

    And guess what!?!

Rex just said "we have confidence in Geno and if healthy, he will start next week" despite the chanting for Vick.

    Lmao

Change this thread title to "1-4"

yep - nothing like being a few games into the season and already knowing there is nothing to play for - our schedule this year has been beyond ridiculous, I mean after a relatively easy opener you have:

    Packers
    Bears
    Lions
    Chargers
    Broncos
    Patriots

Nobody is coming out of that run with a winning record

Calm down, if we go to Vick we'll go 8 and 8, and pick 18th again.

But if we continue to start Geno and he flames , Rex will be gone, and we'll have a shot at Marcus Mariota.

This may be a blessing in disguise.

We'd need to rip off 7 in a row somewhere. When the hell is the last time we did that?

Time for Rex to go! 4 games..zero turnovers (minus the one lucky dropped snap by aaron rodgers). Top 5 defense my ass..id rather give up 350 yards per game but get a turnover or two than doin what we are doing now. Such a joke...

Patriots are, believe it or not, the most winnable game of those 3.

rex is going to get fired. it's a shame he never cared enough to learn about the offensive side of the ball or clock management. he could have been great.

    the apple doesn't fall far.

1998, but that's including the playoffs. 1986 otherwise (where they won 10 of the first 11 games before going 10-6)

Think I'll go on record saying the Jets will either be 2-8 or 3-7 when they go in to the bye week.

If Rex is fired I think Idzik will look to hire someone like, Pete carol, a game manager that can control and make decisions on both sides of the ball.

The secondary isn't losing us games. I never thought I'd say that, but it's not.

Our offense is. Our offense can't score tds and Geno Smith is on record pace for turnovers. We are top 10 on defense against the pass.

Based on the O-line issues in the middle and the fact that Brady is getting older and he's not surrounded by very good offensive talent.
But notice, I didn't say they'd be an easy win or a very winnable game, I just said of the next 3 games the Patriots were the most winnable of the three....
