Had a very solid day today. 23-28 82% Completion 221 Yards 1 TD / 1 INT Interception was a dumb mistake and the fumble he had was a freak thing. Both need to be fixed though. He looked sharp, comfortable, and was really letting it fly. Arm strength is great and his accuracy was pin point today. Looks very good so far!
He looked good. Mistakes happen just as long as he learns from it. I liked how he used his legs and he made some good throws.
Not only was he 23-28 for 82% completion, but his yards per attempt was around 8 I believe. Very solid performance from him.
Got to get rid of turnovers. The fumble we got back and the sack taking us out of fg range can't happen.
Decker looked like he shoulda came back for that pass. I'll havta see it again. Geno looks way better to start this season. I was impressed with his footwork and presence in the pocket. If he and the team can avoid the dumb shit (penalties, turnovers...too cute play calls...) we could shock the so-called experts.
geno looked in control and much better than last yr for sure. He is much improved overall. Arm strength looked great. Accuracy was very good. the turnovers were killer though. Led to 7 for the raiders and cost us at least 3. Somethingtobuild on, has to play better next week though. Hopefully the team cleans up the Turnovers and penalties.
I wouldn't say the interception was a dumb mistake, it was an incredible play by Woodson, a savvy veteran.
Good points on footwork and pocket presence. He looks so much better. Also agree on the assinine goal line plays, Wtf?! They were terrible calls for sure.
He was good but needs to protect himself better. He made some bad mistakes but I'm optimistic that he'll learn from them and keep getting better.
A lot of progression in Geno's game. I think some of his throws down the field (throw to Cumberland for example) he needs to improve his accuracy as he throws high - but I am happy with Geno's progression. As the chemistry develops I think the offense can score a lot more points
he looked alright. I'm gonna keep stewing on that pick, but he looked very good. making BETTER decisions at least and looks the part.
That pass to Salas in the EZ was right on target, shoulda been hauled in. I definitely like what I saw from Geno, except for the fumble and sack of course. The interception I won't get on him for, was a great play and Decker probably should have came back a lil for the ball.
Overall he looked very good. The only issues I had were the following: -Interception where he maybe stared down the receiver, in general it was an amazing play by the DB and that happens to the best QBs in the league -Fumble which was a freak thing but he has to hold on to it in the red zone -the huge drop back sack which took us out of FG range in a close game...but part of that is the play calling: No reason to call a passing play at that point -failing to defend himself by sliding when it was appropriate All but the last one I think can be at least partially chalked up to bad luck or to something outside of Geno's control. Still, things he will have to clean up.
His decision making was good last year but he is still late on throws and still dropping back 30 yards from the LOS.
He looked very good. The INT I can live with, it's not like he threw it directly at Woodson he had to dive for it. The fumble was ugly but you live with it. Can't have these mistakes next week.
