If you had to buy just one jersey TODAY and wear it for two years, which one would you spring for? My money would be on Pryor...he's the guy I'm most excited to see play. I hope he kills a Raider game one!
Nah, just play like a Jet, not a Patriot, although the thought him jacking Aaron Hernandez engenders a little 'warm & fuzzy' I'll settle for him making his presense felt (Raider receivers getting alligator arms) along with a blitz or two that results in (in the words of Al Davis) their QB going down…and going down hard.
My jersey days are behind me, but if I were to buy one right now, it'd be between Mo and Sheldon. I'd go with Mo right now, since he is turning into a truly elite lineman.
Ahh Abyz too bad you're not a Buc's fan...a pirate jersey would go good with your Avi...the old swashbuckler jerseys
I'm a polo shirt kinda guy now so I wouldn't be buying a jersey unless it has velcro attachments for both the name and number strips. The way players move these days, I root for the laundry now. Jerseys cost too much money to buy a new one every time a player leaves the team.
+1. Although we're certainly fans of the players, the laundry's got to come first. And those prices... crazy insane.
i voted Pryor, as i believe he will be an easy guy to root for. as general rule of thumb tho, i don't run out and get jerseys of new guys. have to feel you are heading to Jets ring of honor before i get their jersey now. type of jersey i'd be proud to wear even after they've left the team. For road games, i've been wearing a white Curtis Martin jersey for a long time. best jersey i've ever had. on the flip side, I turned down a Geno Smith jersey last year which a vendor was offering to give as gift. just couldn't see myself wearing it, so turned it down, and will stick with the Curtis Martin. also the Nike green jerseys are atrocious. I'm not a fan of what Nike has done at all.
I've been looking for a Pryor knockoff jersey. I had a website with it bookmarked on my work computer, but I got a new computer lol.
Based purely on chances, I voted for Milliner. Rookies are the worst bet you can make because we simply don't know how they will pan out 2 years from now. Between Geno and Milliner, Milliner has a better chance at starting 2 years from now, given he fact that a poor Geno year could cause us to draft a top Qb next year. I just can't see the Jets starting 2 CBs without Milliner, assuming he is healthy. He might not pan out either, but from what I've seen he will at least be our 2nd Cb for the next 2+ years.
Before I stopped buying jerseys, I was buying them from a knock-off service in China. Authentic-style jerseys for like 40 bucks, instead of that highway robbery 250+.
Ya see, when a man bleeds, it's just tissue, but blood from one of you Things won't obey when it's attacked. It'll try and survive... crawl away from a hot needle, say. _
Pryor's the obvious pick, but I'm going with Milliner. Of course I won't buy any Jets jersey anymore unless they first sign a contract extension, but Milliner played on a top CB level the last 4-5 games of the year. It took him a while to catch on, but he turned it around and stepped it up big time. With the exception of Sheldon, I feel the most excited about Milliner this year, out of anyone on the team. I think he's going to be a beast. I feel Pryor will take some time to catch on as well and will have some growing pains.
Two favorite scenes/quotes: Garry: I know you gentlemen have been through a lot, but when you find the time, I'd rather not spend the rest of this winter TIED TO THIS FUCKING COUCH! [Norris' head grows legs and tries to walk away] Palmer: You gotta be fuckin' kidding. _
