I don't think he should have security 24/7 but it isn't a bad idea.

It's not a bad idea but it shouldn't be necessary. If this kid NEEDS to have security around the clock--is that the guy you want as the leader of your franchise when and if you're a team picking top 5 next year?

There are just so many people out there that look at his status, and are going to try and ruin that and steer him wrong.. He is only a kid at the end of the day... If it will keep him on the right track and around the right people, I am all for it.

So what you're saying is...the crab legs steered him wrong?

He needs to be protected from...crustaceans?

He's an adult and should know better--ESPECIALLY with who he is--that you can't shoplift shellfish.

Not even going to get into the alleged incident with the girl.

If only he had a father that could help steer him in the right direction.

According to a TMZ article, Jameis Winston shaved points in the Louisville game last week. Now you obviously have to take these sort of things with a grain of salt, but this obviously isn't the first Jameis Winston's name has surfaced in the news regarding something negative. Having said that, if the allegations are in fact there's no way he gets drafted at this point no?

Higher ceiling than Mariota, but he has some serious maturity issues. Dont know if I could burn a top 3 pick on him. If he fell to the second (which he wont) and we missed on Mariota, I would run to Chicago with the card myself.

Like everyone else, I had maturity issues when I was a kid as well. I grew up and consider myself a much more mature person. Jameis could do the same thing once he realizes he isnt the king of the sandbox anymore. Unfortunately he has rape and point shaving allegations, which means he probably wont get drafted at all. Hopefully they arent true.

Definitely agree with you. I didn't think the whole crab leg thing and what he yelled were so terrible, that's just him being stupid and immature. He absolutely could turn his image around just look at Dez and how he's matured since first coming into the league, but the point shaving allegations on top of the rape allegations could certainly be the tipping point. Like you said hopefully they aren't true because he's certainly a special talent.

he obviously has issues whether this is true or not but nothing seems to phase this guy on the field. That's a good sign for a player.

I can't believe some people want this guy on our team. Do you really want to be sitting at home or at the game on a Sunday and Winston isn't playing good, do you really want to sit there and wonder if Winston has money on the game and that's why he's playing badly?

I've had enough of clowns on this team.

The game really didn't turn around until Jimbo Fisher gave some of his superstar freshmen (Cook, Rudolph, Lane…etc some snaps over their underperforming upper-classmen counterparts. Was Jimbo shaving points too?

Mariota is 10 times the player and person Winston is...

Winston's slow release will make him drop further than his off the field issues!

Rather than posting Winston related info in one thread, we should open up a new thread for every thought. Same thing with Mariota.

Let's have 50 threads devoted to each player.
