http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/je...terest-in-free-agent-safety-oshiomogho-atogwe Injuries have stopped him from being what he once was, but he'd be a good stopgap option IMO.
You could say Atogwe may be an even better compliment with Landry than Nelson. Atogwe is an even better ball hawk than Nelson but his injury concerns are a bit worrisome if we sign both of them lol. The Redskins had both of them as safeties last season right? How did they do?
Atogwe would be a decent option. For some reason I thought he was OLB, not safety. If we can still get him and Landry, we'll save money over Nelson and have similar results.
You thought he was an OLB but you think we'd have similar results as with Nelson. What am I supposed to make of that?
I was thinking the same thing! I'm glad someone else pointed it out. How da F do you not know a guy's position but assume he will do well? You've obviously never seen him play
the window has closed and there are no real cover safeties left to sign. time to start looking for good tackling cb that can be converted to cover safties.
It's called reading. After I hear about someone for the first time, I look him up and read about him. I was mixing him up with somebody else at first, but now I know, and knowing is half the battle.
Wasn't Atogwe a free agent last year? I remember wanting the Jets to go after him, but he signed a big deal. I would like him over any other options right now. The Jets are going to be linked to any available safeties because of the obvious hole, so I hope this is based off some sources or inside knowledge and not "Oh look a FA that fills a hole for the Jets, therefore Jets have interest"
He had a big 5 yr deal He also played with Landry last year, so on pure speculation if the jets sign a new safety, he should be considered the favorite until its reported otherwise.
And first ive heard of this (him visiting) http://www.nyjets101.com/2012/03/19...s-moving-down-the-list-of-available-safeties/
