I've gotten unlucky twice already this year and had that horrible horrible spot.
Took Manning in 1 and Barber in the other.
You take Portis. Look who their offensive coordinator is.
Tiki is gonna slow down sometime.

very good point I think about a lot.
Manning should get his numbers back up to how they were 2 years ago....ok maybe not THAT high..but still!
tiki only had 9 TD's last year and if he puts up the same numbers and more TD's he could be having an LT type season
Portis is just a proven back who will for sure get 1,300 yards and he SHOULD get quite a few TD's.
So every player has a good case

and the defenses they play wont have to put 8 + people in the box anymore cause of james. Theyll be free to double cover = alot more INTs

The Giants recieving corps have increased with Sinorice Moss in contention now. Tiki, in my opinion will slow down a lot this season, he'll still make 1200 yards, but he will have less recepetions as well if you ask me.

I picked depends on the settings, because in leagues that use 2 QBs they can be very valuable and in that case I might go with Peyton. Second, I might have voted for Edge James if he was up there, I think he'll do well in Arizona, where lots of focus will be put on Fitz and Bolden. I'd rank him higher than Tiki, and possibly higher than Portis depending on Portis' injury. If Portis is completely healthy I'd probably take him 4th in most leagues since I think he'll do very well in Saunders' offense just like Priest Holmes and Larry Johnson were able to.

or JUST as important, "Edge" is one of the best RB's in the league when it comes to pass blocking and blitz pick-ups.
Manning will not have as much time as hes accustomed to.

No, I'd take him 5th.

Nothing against Edge, but he has no line really to rush behind.

Tiki is the safest bet. The running backs aren't great this year. There's a lot of banged up starters and platoons. You have to take the best 100% healthy running back left early in the draft, and that would be Tiki. I hate rating him that high, but Portis has been knicked up in the past, and is missing at least the remainder of the pre-season.
Manning is very tempting this year without James, but I think you have to pass on all positions but RB in the top 8 picks.

Portis would've been my pick before the injury. I'd definitely choose Tiki now!

Manning, but it really depends on the league.

Depends on the league format. I think Manning is going to be huge, and if quarterbacks make your league, I might go there. Also depends how many teams. If it's 10, I'd go Manning. Any more, and I might go RB. If you have a 12 or 14 team league, the chances of you getting 2 good backs is slim.
