I thought the offense was getting dumbed down for Sanchez?
Now we're making it more complicated?
This is going to work well.
How does adding more wildcat make the offense any more complicated for Sanchez?

I don't believe the Jets traded for him. I hated this guy all of last season, it's terrible. Now I have to root for him?
Listening to ESPN just now it seems Miami is definitely not going to pursue him and everybody in Jacksonville (except the owner) is against getting him too. Obviously the owner can over rule everybody but ESPN says they have yet to speak to the Denver so who knows. They mystery team is apparently the Rams, so if Floriday is out it would be the Jets, Rams and Packers right now.

The Jets obviously did not scout John Elway closely enough before they made this move. If they had they would have seen the beads of sweat glistening on his brow all last fall as he tried to get out from under Tebow-mania. They would have seen his frantic contortions as the inevitability of playing the worst passing QB since Bobby Douglass became a reality. They would have seen his heartfelt prostration in front of his saviour Saint Peyton.
John Elway, unlike most of the people in the Jets organization knows something about NFL football.

The ONLY way this works is if we make it known that there is no chance Tebow ever plays quarterback. He has to buy in to being a wildcat rb/te hybrid, or whatever they want him to be. Seriously, do not list him on the qb depth chart, Stanton must remain #2 and McElroy #3..that's the only way this works.

This isn't directed at everybody, just the select few who didn't want Tebow here because he prays (gasp). Look at the clowns we have here now: a guy who need a loan to pay child support, a guy who just got out of prison on a weapons charge, and a QB who ended up messing with an underage girl.
Do I think Tebow is the second coming (pun intended) of Tom Brady? No. But the guy has won everywhere he has gone. Trust me, I'm a Florida State guy, I know how dangerous he is. This nonsense about him not being able to throw? Well, he was winning a playoff game while Sanchez was sitting home reading about himself in GQ.
The guy has heart, fire and the ability to avoid a sack and turn nothing into something. The four games Tebow lost, the opponent scored: 45, 41, 40 and 7 points. So he had a bad game, the last one. Did anyone expect them to beat Pittsburgh? No, but they did and he threw the game winning pass..I don't care if it went 10 yards in the air or 80..A win is a win period. Sanchez by any stretch of the imagination underachieved last year. Give Tebow a fair shake, and see what he does.

Fine, but this is not a Tebow vs Sanchez thing. Please don't help make it sound like something that its not, god knows ESPN will already

1. The idea that Tebow won't buy into his H-Back/Wildcat role is silly. He is the most humble, willing player on the team.
2. In a 10-15 play package he can obviously be very effective. The guy is a TD machine. Something we sorely need. Not to mention he is money inside the 10.
3. If Sanchize can't handle the pressure...WHO CARES?? Please, stop babying this guy. This is the NFL. It's a grown man's league. Sanchez needs to use some of his $20Mil guaranteed and buy some resllience and courage a la Tebow.
People need to stop jumping off the roof and realize this is not a bad move. Tebow as an H-back is a phenomenal weapon.
And for those who keep making bigoted, hateful comments about his faith, all I can say is wow. I'm praying for you.

They'll say wildcat until their lips are sore, but if it was just about that they have guys who can run the wildcat just fine.
Lets face it, when Sparano and Rexy see an offense that runs 60% of the time they get a boner, and Tebow is perfect for what they like to do.

Did Tebow lose those games or did his defense? He won a playoff game, and lost to the eventual AFC Champion. NE scored 45 pts in that game. Wow...was not expecting that. While I'm not really impressed I will wait to hear/see the explanation behind it. If it is to use him more as a HB/Wildcat guy then I can get behind it. If it's as a backup QB then I don't think I can, mostly for the QB controversy it will create.

whatever, I don't see what the panic is about. With the possibility, as remote as it might have been, of Tebow going to Miami or NE, I'll take him on our bench.....in the wildcat or however they plan on using him. If Sanchez' feelings are hurt, screw him, he just got a nice contract extension. That should be enough to keep him happy. Yeah, it might be strictly a PR play...but even though a lot of people have completely lost faith in Tanny and Rex after one .500 season, I still have faith these guys have a plan and know what they're doing. And all you anti religious jerkoffs, get over it.

I'm taking a wait and see approach.
He's not gonna be our QB so i really don't care to much about it.

i don't mind it.
i'm not crazy about it. but i'm not raging against it either.
i'm curious to see how it turns out.
i don't see how this makes our season a disaster or anything.
4th and a 6th is like trading bilal powell and greg mcelroy away. meh

wow some overreactions a 4th and a 6th to much well the 6th and 7th wash and the 4th cant be offset with our compensation picks. We still have a full draft worth of picks settle down folks settle down. At worst we have a 1million dollar semi distraction that players shouldnt get into anyway. At best a tough wildcat option who should push sanchez to play his best and practice hard

Yay! I bet Mark Sanchez the pedophile and Tim Tebow the Jesus freak get along famously! *sarcasm obviously intended*

NY, along with Boston and Philly, are probably the only places where we will not see the same fanatical stuff we saw in Denver.
Same here. Basically Religion will prop him up in flyover country but it will be a detriment here. On top of that, I don't know that New York fans will put up with a gimmick QB for long.
On the flip side, the one thing he's got going for him is that Rex and Sporano probably LOVE the style of football Tebow can play.
Holmes is going to hang himself if Tebow starts at any point.

Who is going to be clamoring for Tebow? Look at the reaction on this board. No one thinks he can play quarterback. We just found our free safety.
Holy shit...some of you guys really are whining pussys. It's a fucking 4th round pick.and all the kid does is win...period. He's not coming to play QB...an if Sanchez is as fragile as some of you say he can shouldn't be in the NFL

Tim Tebow is a good football player. The Jets are a football team. If utilized properly (H-back at times, some RB action, occasional QB action), he will be an asset. You understand?

A wasted season?!
Was that 4th round pick supposed to come in and salvage the franchise?
A 6th and a 7th rounder are the same thing. Everyone's boards are so different that deep in the draft. Whatever player the Jets were expecting to take in the 6th. I'd estimate there's an 80% chance he's sitting home by the phone in the 7th.
Agreed. This is a good deal. People are so focused on the negative aspects of Tebowmania but fail to see the positives he brings. Tebow can keep our offense exciting and explosive as a situational player. Sanchez will play much better this season IMO. Lets draft a pass rusher, a good wr, and a RT. At this point, we don't need to make a move on a RB, Tebow fills that gap for us.

Oh no we lost a 4th round pick season over. Pack it in because the redskins fan said so.
we could use him as a rb ^^

Even if Tebow has fans in NY (which obviously he does), why is this a bad thing?? He's on your team now. Lol.
Heh, I'm a Broncos fan too, but I just don't think the same kind of "I love Tebow because Jaysus loves Tebow" fan is going to show up in Jersey. They'd just get beer dumped on them.
I wish some of you would go root for another team...cause you'll also be the first motherfuckers in here washing Tebows balls if he wins us a game or two.

If the #Jets go into next season with 19 million in cap commitments to Sanchez and Tebow...well lets just say they better win it all
TERRIBLE!

Thank you. Tebow not here to play qb. He's a damn good fb player and will take carries from greene as well as surprise people with passes. He was a good big play guy last year something we sucked with.

tim tebow is a fucking embarassment and not a fucking football player. i couldn't give two shits if he wins us 10 regular season games. once playoffs hits he'll be exposed as a fraudulent piece of crap.

Tebow not here to play qb.
I wouldn't bet on that just yet.
Just because it would be stupid, that doesn't mean it isn't the Jets plan.
