Went to the Hofstra/George Mason game last night. Second Hofstra game I've gone to this year, the first being against Old Dominion, and it was fabulous. Both of my uncles are Hofstra fanatics, who should probably be sitting in the student section. They get a pretty good student section turn out, and they are a fun team to watch, and I go with them from time to time. Anyone who hasn't checked them out should do so, it's a great deal and unfortunately, there are plenty of seats in that nice arena. Guys like Stokes and Aggudio make it a very entertaining time. They're probably not a bracket buster team because they don't have that over the top talent like they did in Claxton, but they play great basketball. Saturday against Drexel is the last home game, and it's definitely worth checking out.

I can realistcally see them making a run to get into the NCAA tourney....

They are likely going to need to beat UNCW to get in, and hope that George Mason wins the conference tourney.

I was at the game last night in the Student Section. What an amazing atmosphere. You would think you were at an ACC game with the way the students were.

We were not sitting down AT ALL. Not one second was spent with our asses seated.

It was my second hofstra game as well. I went to one vs. Towson earlier in the year. I'm probably going to be going to tomorrow's game vs. Drexel since i'll b on Campus at 2 working on a project.

Stokes is absolutely amazing. He's so quick, and makes the team tick. The one negative about the game last night was that we could not defend anyone in the post. They were too big for us, but we were too quick for them.

38 in the RPI. Here we come.

Stokes needs a ham sandwich or two. Uter was a beast on the boards but he and Kieza might as well have gotten out of the way. I'm sure Pecora advised him not to get into foul trouble, but still, they were victimized. I hear they have a prep school shotblocker coming in next year, and I think that could be good for them.

I know nothing about their class coming in, but a big guy in the middle would be excellent. Our guards are terrific, and very good from 3.

Stokes is very very slim. I don't know how he does it. You can tell he loves basketball watching the warm-ups. He sticks his nose in the paint too. He got some important rebounds, and drew the all-important Charging Foul in the 4th quarter.

Pecora is a good coach. It's interesting to see him on the sidelines; his assistants are standing almost all the time. They usually go into a zone Defense when they're in fould trouble.

I'm curious to see if they get an at-large bid if they win tomorrow and win 1 game in the conference tournament. It would be great to see 3 teams from the conference get in. It would go a long way toward recruiting, and just the future success of the conference.
