NYPD dropping college requirement ?

My friend is a cop he was telling me that they are close to droping college requirement for police officers .They cant get any one to join on minimum wage .Any one else here about this i also heard about it through a recruiter.

I dodn't think they had college requirements. Suffolk and Nassau don't,just high school. My brothers a cop. Suffolk is the hardest academy in the country.
