I just want to say that I am a member of this terrfic site for 12 days now. Without any exageration I have tried to log on at least 50 times and all I get is an error. I have emailed GGN for help so please be patient with me. I have been a rabid Jets fan since 1966 and am truly excited to be here. So to GGN, I cant wait to get started.

Hi,
Been reading Gang Green for ages but only got round to joining recently. I've been a Jets fan since the Ken O'Brien days! The first game I remember watching was the 51-45 win over the Dolphins in the '86 season. I am from Ireland so the green and white colours appealed to me. I also support Celtic, the Scottish soccer team. Green and White all the way! Does anyone think The Jets will ever play in London?

Lord, I hope not.

I just joined a few days ago! I needed to find some kindred spirits because I get made fun of for being a jet fan on a daily basis! My family is sooo into the packers and there's a kid at my school who wears patriots shit every day. I won't post a lot, but might be there to back up my man now and again ;)

Hello all. Been lurking for a month or so, finally set up an account. The name is pretty self explanatory unless I manage to upgrade myself over the summer. Looking forward to find a place to discuss Jets football with other tortured souls. As a devoted follower of the Jets, Islanders, and Mets, I am a proud member of sports hell.

Whats up? Im new to the board. I was raised in Hartford, CT and have been a lifetime season ticket holder. I now live in Southern California where everyone seems to jump from one NFL bandwagon to the other. I am Pro Sanchez, slowing becoming anti-Rex, and could not be happier that schotty is gone. That pretty much sums it up.

Youll fit right in with those views my friend. Just be careful, this Manning hype is causing a lot of posters too look very idiotic in the main forum, nevertheless, welcome!
I'm from Jersey I've been a Jets fan since I was a little girl. I believe that we will have a SB Win in my life time. Yes it will happen .... Maybe even before I have kids, who knows.
I love Rex even though there's a lot of people who dislike his demeanor. And like every Jets Fan the show must go on. I hope for a better 2012-13 season. Salutations

Whats up everybody? I am a lifelong Jets fan from CT. My favorite Jets of all time (well MY lifetime lol) are C.Martin, Wayno, and Chad Pennington. I hate Doug Brien (in a football sense not in real life even though i do understand field position didn't really help him). In a nut shell I am not a huge Sanchize fan but he's our guy for the moment and im riding with him. I understand the whole extension helps us a lot in freeing up cap space (I would never claim to understand how the cap works so i just leave it to more intelligent people to help me out) and I think Tanny's strength is restructuring and am really optimistic for the FA period.....the draft not as much though....A few guys i would like see the Jets get this year in the draft are: Melvin Ingram,M.Floyd or T Rich in the 1st (not a big Barron fan) David Wilson in a later round and if he is available in the 4th round or later i would def. take a risk on Burfict. As far as FA i think bringing Lowery back would be awesome considering the players available in the S position is kinda weak this off season(wouldn't be mad if they got Otagawe though)...damn there is so much more i would like to add but i guess i will leave it at this and add on to exsisting topics....

! Whazzup y'all? My name is ryley and I am from the desolate land of wyoming. I have been a jets fan for three years and before that I didn't watch football. I have autographs from Namath and the NY Sack Exchange, even though they are before my time. I don't think I can wear my Jets or Clippers jersey without hearing crap from the Minnesota/Denver fans. Minnesota fans are pretty cocky for not having a ring, and for bronco fans, john elway is like their second Jesus. I did watch the super bowl with them, but we all cheered on the giants. I have a strong dislike for Brady lady and butterfingers Welker. Go jets! :pats_suck:

What's up fellow Jets followers, it feels good to be here. I live in North Carolina, so besides the handful of actual pats fans, I have to deal with the ENORMOUS group of bandwagon fans that feel like they have the right to get in your face a bout a pats win when they can't tell you who vince wilfork is. Needless to say I HATE the pats. Moving on, I'm excited about the upcoming season. I think Sanchez can be the guy we're looking for, but he just got caught up in the NY glitz and glamour last year. I think we can expect a different quarterback next year. I hope that our offseason moves consist of a solid safety, RT, slot receiver, and RB. I look forward to hearing feedback from all of you.

Hello GangGreen members - I'm a NFL fan and a Buffalo Bills fan but wanted to join your Board just to get insight into other teams and what better team than the Bills' division rival NY JETS. Also interested in Tebow and how he gets incorporated into your team. Looking forward to some good old fashioned fun and insight. Thanks.

:deadskins::buffaloblows::pats_suck:What's up GangGreenNation! I'm a young NY Jets fan from the Bronx, NY that fell in love with Curtis Martin the first time I seen him play. I now live in the Washington D.C area and hate hearing Redskins fans talk football! Most of my family are VaGiants fans and made my year drastic. What I love is the new demeanor that Rex has brought to the team. Our defense is FEROCIOUS and I LOVE every last bit of it (except for blown coverage's)! I would DIE to see us win a superbowl in my lifetime. I BLEED Green n White!!! :metal:

What's up Jet fans? Ardent follower of the NFL here. Interesting offseason in the league, eh? I grew up idolizing Jo "Willie." Native of the Denver area, but been living in Alaska for the last 16 years or so.
I am a Bronco fan, but have always followed the Jets fairly closely. Will be interesting to see how Tebow is used. One thing is certain...the Jets are now going to be in the National spotlight. The media's twisted fascination with Teebs is unreal.
Best of luck in the Draft and the upcoming season from Alaska.

Hey everyone, it's great to be here! I've actually been lurking here for a few months, but decided to join post my 2 cents on the Jets offseason.
Super quick information about myself: Growing up I never watched any football because my parents hated sports, so unfortunately I missed all the great years of football. When I moved into my apartment 2 years ago, I found that everyone of my roomates treated sunday like a religious holiday, so naturally I joined in and watched the games with them, despite not knowing much about football. Then I watched my first Jets game, and I instantly fell in love with the team.

Okay, since this is my milestone 10th post, I'll do it here.
I'm going to lay my cards out on the table so every one knows where I stand.
First, I'm a Gator. Dad's a Gator, Brother's a Gator. I grew up in FL, but went to H.S. my senior year in the North Country in Peru, NY near Lake Champlain, so I do have a bit of NY ties.
I've also been a Dolphin Hater for quite a few decades, and don't much like the Pats, either, though I do have a grudging respect for what they've accomplished.
My family is from the Mountain West (I was born in Laramie, if anyone knows where that is), so quite a few Broncos fans in the family. I also owned a restaurant/Sports Bar in Cody, WY from '96 to 2001, which coincided with the Broncos Super Bowl victories.
After 2001, I moved to KC. We were literally packing our van to move from KC to Cheyenne, WY. about 100 north of Denver, when I heard Tebow was drafted. So I was pretty fired up about that.
Now, I'm a lifelong Vikings fan, but have always had an AFC favorite ever since I was a kid. When I lived in NY, I followed the Jets. Now that Tebow's a Jet, I'll be pulling for them.
Not here to recruit for the Tebow bandwagon, and I know he's got some limitations (which I hope he'll overcome), but I do support him and you'll probably hear from me whenever someone says something I consider wrong-headed.
That's about it.
Should be interesting, if nothing else.

This is my first post, much like catsigator I come here due to the trade of Tebow. I'm not one of the whackos that thinks he can do no wrong though! I understand he has a lot of work to do to become a good QB in the NFL, primarily with consistent accuracy and reading defenses. I have no idea if he will ever be a great NFL QB, but I'm interested in finding out. He made improvements last year and I'm hoping this offseason will do him wonders.
Being that I grew up in Orlando and currently live in Alabama I really have never had an allegiance to any one NFL team. I cheered for Marino in his heyday and was thrilled when the Bucs won the SB....I've always been a die-hard Gator though. My brother in law is from Queens and lives and breaths the Mets and Jets, so it will be strange rooting for the same team now!
Anyway, thank you for allowing me to join in the forum, I look forward to great discussion regarding the team and the NFL in general.

Another Tebow fan here. My team is the Raven's, but only because I just moved up to Baltimore from Florida. Never had a pro team (always hated the 3 florida teams) and only followed UF. I was actually born in Gainesville and bleed orange and blue. I was an equipment manager for UF for 5 years (including 06 and Tebow's first year). I loved the dude as a person and just have such an interest in seeing him succeed. He is 100% genuine and I can fully vouch for him. He has a long way to go to be a legitimate starting QB in the NFL, but he brings so many positives to the table... how can you not root for him to get better and ultimately succeed. Look forward to seeing how all this plays out. Never envisioned myself a JET fan, but who knows, you all may convert me :)

I was wondering, Does anybody know how many Tebow fans have signed up here this week? GO JETS!!!
Hello, Jet fans. I've followed the NFL since about 1973. I've also studied the history of the game and tried to learn what I could about the league's past from my father and other older fans. I think it's impossible to understand history without doing your best to put things into the context of the time period you're investigating. This is why I try to explain to younger fans today why Joe Namath belongs in the Hall of Fame despite lifetime statistics that don't appear to measure up to those posted by modern day quarterbacks.
The NFL began implementing rule changes to increase scoring through passing the football in the mid 70s. Outlawing the bump and run, the five yard chuck rule, moving the hashmarks, outlawing the head slap and allowing offensive linemen to extend their arms while pass blocking. Also, numerous rules designed to protect the health of quarterbacks and wide receivers. I mention all this as a means to contextualize the achievements of players like Namath against their counterparts in later years. The league made it's most determined effort to change the game beginning in 1978.
Namath threw for 4007 yards in 1967 as most of you are well aware. It wasn't until 1979 that another quarterback surpassed the 4000 yard mark, when Dan Fouts passed for 4082 yards in the Air Coryell offense. To put this into context, Joe Ferguson of the Bills led the NFL in passing in 1977 with 2803 yards.
I have never rooted for the Jets, but one of my best friends in high school was a passionate Jets fan, so I learned a lot about the team. I knew all about the Sack Exchange and Freeman McNeil, Richard Todd and Joe Walton and the rest, both good and bad. I was also just a huge fan of the league in general, thus the Wesley Walker poster on my wall as a 13 year old.
Personally, I was a Rams fan growing up, worshipping Jack Youngblood as a throwback even back then. As my AFC team, I adopted the Broncos in around 1976 because I fell in love with their amazing linebacker corps of Gradishar, Jackson, Swenson and Rizzo. My primary allegiance flipped when Carroll Rosenbloom drowned/was murdered and Georgia Frontiere took over the team. The less said about her the better. Eventually my interest in the Rams evaporated completely until they became just another NFL franchise to me. They no longer held my favor as a fan, but I didn't feel the disdain for them I reserved for teams like the Broncos AFC West rivals.
I do not count myself among the tidal wave of Tebow fans that have washed up on your shores recently. You will all make your own evaluations about these folks over the coming months. Some of you will become converts to their cause, some of you will have much more negative opinions about them.
I rooted hard for Tebow in Denver. The playoff game against Pittsburgh was as exciting as any sporting event I ever attended. I had my reservations about whether Tim could ever become a long term answer at quarterback. His passing skills and ability to read defenses are still in the developmental stages and his running style will never allow him to hold up physically over the long haul. That said, there have been few players in league history with better leadership skills on the field. He earned the respect of his teammates and more respect from opposing players for his toughness than almost any quarterback I've ever seen.
This post is already way too long, so I'll wrap it up. I will elaborate on Tebow's departure from Denver and the resulting uproar in later posts. Suffice to say, most of these individuals joining your board are not Jets fans and will never be Jets fans. They are Tebow fans, first foremost and exclusively. They will never blame him for anything and their creativity in finding scapegoats for his shortcomings will display an inventiveness that will astound you. When I read the Jets were bringing in Tebow to repair division in their lockerroom, I equated it to repairing your car by driving it off a cliff. There has never been a more polarizing athlete in any team sport and you will have to experience it first hand to truly understand.
Good luck on the upcoming season. As always, I will root hard for you to kick the Patriots asses twice this year.
EpicVibe

I'm new here too. I became a Tebow fan when he was a freshman at University of Florida. Followed his college career and and followed his NFL career. I will always root for him and whatever he does.
I think he can help this team. First 2 years y'all go deep in the playoffs y'all had the wildcat. The year the Jets take it away they miss the playoffs.
Also I will like to say Tebowmania is not because of his fans. Its because of the media making everything a big story that is related to Tebow.
The elephant in the room is that Jets fans don't like Sanchez and they were going to boo him anyway. He was on thin ice anyway. If the starting QB is good, no one is going to chant Tebow. Only reason Bronco fans(yes Bronco fans that converted to Tebow fans) chanted Tebow is because Orton sucked. If Sanchez don't suck, there won't be a problem because Tebow is going to be on the field anyway.
Sir Thomas
03-25-2012, 04:28 AM
Hi! My name is Doug Roper and I'm using the name Sir Thomas because Thomas IS my first name. I'll tell you up front that I'm coming to join the Jets because of Tim Tebow. Having said that, I'm not one that thinks that Tim will be the one who will win the games. Tim is a team player who makes things happen. He will motivate the team. I have followed Tim since his high school days at Nease High in Jacksonville, Florida (actually Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida).
I'm not expecting Tim to be the starter right away. Tim will do what he is expected to do. If the coach wants him to play 2nd string or 3rd string, he'll do it. He'll even go in as a running back in a Wildcat formation, whatever is needed.
Football is a team sport with a quarterback at the helm. If the quarterback doesn't do well, the team doesn't do well. If the OL doesn't do well, the quarterback doesn't do well and the same goes for the receivers and running backs. If the Defense doesn't keep the game within reach then offense can't do their job. If the Offense doesn't score, then the efforts of the defense is for nought.
At Denver, Tim has pulled out last minute wins. Denver called it luck. I just hope that Tim's religious belief and his praying doesn't sidetrack the issue. Tim is a football player and a New York Jet. He puts a 100% effort in everything he does. Yes he needs work on throwing. All through High School and College, he had a pitching motion from the hip, back and over his shoulder. NFL coaches were concerned that it exposes the ball to fumbles. Imagine changing the way you do something for over 18 years and make it perfect. Plus Tim started with no training camp (lockout) and then a quarterback controversy. Give him time. He will do what he can to make himself a valuable asset.

Yes, Jet's friends another Broncophile here to watch the Tebow effect. One of the most amazing things seen in sports. I wish him luck in Green. I wish all of you luck in having him in Green.
He does indeed put effort into his endeavors. The Broncos did win 4 OT games and a couple of squeakers during his tenure. It's not really true that "Denver" calls it luck. The defense kept the team in many of those games. Maybe because they believed in Tim. Maybe because they believed in their own abilities. If you want to call Marion Barber inexplicably running out of bounds and preserving clock time a Divine Intervention, well, okay. Or maybe he simply made a mistake.
The throwing motion, in all likelyhood, will not be changed. I do not predict a sudden, Dan Marino like, quick release from TT in the near, or ever future. Better to concentrate on things more achievable, like footwork. Pocket presence. Don't care how big of gift from God you are, to continue the running with reckless abandon, while entertaining and exciting, does not bode well for sustaining health in the NFL. All though you will enjoy the first time you actually see a safety step out of his way. Oh. I forgot that was Revis. But it will happen again. When all 240 pounds of Tebow starts rumbling it's hard to bring down.
Lost in the shuffle of the "Miracle" victories was limping down the home stretch at 1-4. (Strangely the same configuration which lost Orton a job.) Also, strangely coinciding with Von Miller's injury.
The Pittsburgh playoff game was a blast. Even though both teams were at about half strength due to injury depletion among the ranks.
I hope you guys get that type of thrill often. Keeps the Legend of Tim alive and well!

Guess what folks? Yeah another Tebow fan here but my story is a bit different. I was born in Manahattan, NYC in Washington Heights in 1968. I grew up an only son in the house and highly addicted to sports. I always rooted for all the NY teams but my favorites were the Jets, Mets, Nets and Islanders. We didn't have much money but my Dad took me once to see the Jets when they were at Shea Stadium. This solidified my love for the Jets. Thanks to satellite and Direct TV I've been able to follow the Jets and other teams. Ouch, yeah even the Mets. I married and left the Big Apple for Gainesville, Florida and have lived here since 1991. Living here it was hard to avoid the Gator teams. I quickly fell in love with the passion and rivalry of collegiate athletics. I became a huge Florida Gator fan at the right time under the Spurrier years and Danny Wuerrful. I marveled at Tim Tebow during his years here and got to see every pass he ever threw and about 50 % of those live including the 2006 NC game. I was sad when the Jets took Mark Sanchez cause I had hoped Tebow would end up with the Jets when he made his way to the pros. I was happy he ended up in Denver cause they were my Western team and now he is back where I always envisioned him. I do not consider myself to be blind to Tebow's passing inadequacies and inability to read defenses. I feel 100% though that he will improve although how much is the 1 Million dollar question. Still, I hope everyone gives him a fair shot. Part of my fan-dom with him has been that nearly everyone had written him off as being unfit to play in the NFL. So called experts even said he would never win a game in the NFL. Then they said he would never win a playoff. All of which he accomplished without a full year under his belt last year. I have never seen a tougher, more motivated, more focused young man and I think he will help this team return to the glory of the 1969 team. I hope you all join me for the ride it will be fun. Welcome to the circus and God Bless.

Unlike the last several posts, I am not a Tebow fan. I actually signed up quite a while back and just never got around to posting. I lurk, and probably will continue to do so.
I lived in NJ the first 30 years of my life, started routing for the Jets when my Gramps bought me a No.7 Jets T-shirt back in 1986. For the record my favorite player as a kid was Al Toon, and I was too young to know that Ken O'Brien wasn't particularly good.
Now I live near Jerry world, which is really quite a site to see. I finally got tired of not being able to view links so thought I might as well start posting as there seem to be quite a few entertaining threads here recently.
Dont' get me wrong, I hope Tebow works out for the Jets as some sort of utility player that can help get the offense moving a little when it get stuck in the mud. Either way you look at it, 2012 should be entertaining.
Take care! (y'all)

Hello Jets fans, unfortunately (I guess) I'm another Tebow fan that I'm sure many of you aren't too fond of. But I don't plan on posting any just pretty much lurking around.
Not all Tebow fans are crazy and unreasonable. Ive seen some pretty reasonable Tebow fans on here as a matter of fact. But for some reason the crazy Tebow fans are singled out while the crazy haters (and there are equally as many haters as fans) are seemed to be the norm.
Anyways, you won't hear anything from me so carry on :)

I decided to post in this forum, because my job affords me lots of time and I love football. I was curious what the reception would be to Tebow coming here and I was shocked by some of the
reactions. I decided to post some thoughts and probably will in the future. I think the Jets have a great chance to improve this year and take it to the next level if they can get the locker room
straightened out. I hope they do. It would be fun to see the Jets kick some Patriots ass. Looking forward to posting. Packersfan

The first quarterback I ever saw perform live (as in person) was Bart Starr.
In a stadium which was scuttled before all of you were born.
I have been watching this game forever.
I love Football.
You Jet fans are going to be friggin' SHAKING yourself every Sunday. You are soooooo lucky to experience this breath of fresh air. You know what I'm talking about. This isn't about the "passing league." This isn't about the "way to win a championship." This isn't about the "NFL in the here and now." That's call crap. What you are about to experience will change you. You will be screaming in front on your TV like I was, and you will be shocked. You are going to have a blast. And at the end of they day, in a market where so much is hype, you will see the results. It will be awesome.
I envy you. Enjoy it.

I started out a Colts fan because of Johnny U and Raymond Berry.
I followed the Jets for a while because of (SEC/Bama) Broadway Joe.
My first attended football game was in old Florida Field when Spurrier was the QB.
I followed the Phins during the Killer B's years.
And again during the Marino plus the 2 smurfs, or the 2 Marks, (Duper & Clayton).
I pretty much gave up on 'teams' in the No Fun League after that.
I'm a lifelong Gator fan, all sports, but I'll follow Gator players (all sports) at the next level.
So Tebow is why I'm here now.
I didn't notice that the board had rules or requirements for 'who' could be a Jets fan.
Nor did I notice that there was any 'time line' requirements either.
I don't swing first, but I'll certainly duck and then swing back.... :)

Gang Green - thank you for creating this awesome site where we can all come together to debate and discuss our favorite team! My dad took me to see my first Jets game all the way back when Richard Todd was slinging the ball from sideline to sideline.
My favorite game ever was Jets v Miami game 51-45 in overtime - I yelled and cheered in my house more than any sporting event I can ever remember as a kid. I grew up in Manhattan but have been away from home flying fighters for the Navy. My sons are old enough to enjoy football now so we will be coming up from Virginia to see some games. We have never been to MetLife - I would love any advice on the new location and bringing young children (ages 6&7) to the stadium. Thanks for having me and I am excited to be part of the Gang Green community!

I am a long-time Broncos fan that has felt displaced by the team for dumping Tebow in favor of an old, injured qb. I am looking to contribute to ths forum because I look at the Jets signing Tebow as a step in the right direction. You will grow to love this kid. He will help the Jets win. I am cheering for the Jeta this year and maybe from here on out.

I'm from Indiana but grew up some in Florida. Was a Dolphins fan even though we moved back to Indiana in '82. Converted over to a Colts fan around the time Peyton came in. Stayed a Colts fan until about 2008 when I started rooting for the Jets.
Thanks for having me aboard!

I agree, this is "The Best Jets Fan Message Board...Period". (I've looked around).
As a member of the Gator Nation, I reserve football season Saturdays for Gator football. Historically, on Sundays I have worshipped at the alter of 'Fish Laden Waters' but current events have caused me to allocate some Sunday time to professional football. Additionally, contrary to my SOP (no football message boards), I have begun to spend time on football message boards. I've acquired a strange pleasure from seeing the change many pro. football fans experience from being exposed to one of the Gator Nation's favorites. I'm genuinely glad to be here. This season promises to be one of the most entertaining seasons in recent memory.

So many tebow fans . I'm also new on here, but I am not a tebow fan due to my hate for the gators (ROLL TIDE). I'm not rooting against him I just hope if he does well it doesnt mean sanchez shat the bed too hard.
Anyways I live in Hamilton, Ontario (about an hour from Orchard Park Buffalo) and I've been a green and white fan since I fell in love with Curtis Martin in '03 when I was 14 years old. I've been to old Giants stadium for one game 3 years ago, went to Cinci for the playoff game the same year and been to about 6 or 7 Jets games in Buffalo. J-E-T-S

Florida Gator fan first, and Tebow fan second. I support any team that he's on.
I know a lot of "real" fans don't respect that and rightfully so. Thats how I feel about NCAA ball. Never really a pro football fan until Tebow entered the league. Tried to support my home town team the Carolina Panthers and just couldnt get behind that cheater $cam Newton!
As long as he's a New York Jet I will support this team!

It's amazing what a couple of one loss seasons can do for a Napoleon complex football program. There are superstars, champions, Heisman winners of every school in the NFL, yet the Gators fans have this incessant need to prop up their guy. I highly doubt 20 Vols fans joined the Broncos sites the day Manning was brought in, but that's bc he Vols actually produce legit NFL talent that doesn't go belly up at the prodigious rate Gators do. I mean, it's so beyond pathetic that these fans are so insecure about the fact that their hero who brought them out of being on the bottom of collegiate state of Florida football is so mediocre that they need to form an army of support to get him on the field. No other college fan base is this pathetic.

Greetings from the emerald isle.I have found my way here really because Ireland is quickly becoming obsessed with the nfl.We get 5 live games a week( thursday night, monday night and 3 games on sunday) and are quickly becomming immeresed in the world of the nfl.I hope to learn from talking to people here because to be fair we really dont fully understand the mechanics of the game and need to do so in order to fully appreciate what we are watching. Hopefully this year will be the Jets year and us Irish Jets will have a chance to shut the pats fans over here up once and for all.

New here- 37 year old from NY. I got into football in the sack exchange years. I guess I am an idiot but I love (hate) the Jets. They killed me so many times I am at a loss.
Anyway this is a damn great and crisp site. Great work. Have a feeling I will be here a long time.

I envy you. Enjoy it.

Long time lurker... Spent early childhood in NY and was Met's fan and then my folks moved to Florida. Went to UF and am a Gator fan. It's been a long time since I rooted for an NFL team. Was a Tampa fan back in the Ricky Bell, Doug Williams, Coach McKay days. Love Tebow! Hope he wins you guys over! I'm a rabid NCAA football fan (all d-1 conferences) and would like to get back into NFL, but horseface Elway reminded why I left in the first place. Living in OH, Bengals Suck, Browns suck more so I was hoping I had a home in Denver but hope to have one now in NY. Go J-E-T-S

Just wanted to say hi! Great to be on board. I am a Denver native, but adopted the Jets back in the 80's when I was a kid for my second team. (I guess I liked green or something!). I am a Denver Broncos season ticket holder as of this past season, when Tebow rocked our town. I was there in person for all those great comeback wins including the Jets game & the Steeler Playoff win. It was amazing. I am rather peeved along with a bunch of other Denver fans that he got shipped off. So I am very happy to follow him to the Jets! I also love SEC footballl and the Gators, and I know they'l be a bunch more Broncos and Gators fans joining this board. I'm not a fickle fan though- I'm following your new draft picks (Terrance Ganaway is my fav!) & other players, reading NJ.COM, etc and I REALLY HATE THE PATS! So lets go Jets!

Hi to everyone.
Core opinions re current burning NYJ topics.
1. Tebow.
Good man, good player, sub-par QB. Might get better, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting. Was getting him over good or bad?
price is low --- good
pushing Mark -- good
craziness -- bad
IMO his value will depend on how NYJ will use him with "starting QB" not being a legit use unless Mark is injured.
2. Holmes
Wish could get rid of, but since it's not in the stars b/c of the contract, must find a way to live with him.
3. Last season
Primary fault = OLine, maybe b/c Tanny was too overly smart for his own good. Mark improved & would've improved even further given a chance. Bad OL however showed his deficiencies & hopefully he'll work on them.
4. Pats
Must die a horrible death.
I will respect whatever remains from their fan base after a string of mediocre seasons.... all 10 of them.

Florida Jets fan man! Formerly from L.I. I used to take the train in from Huntington as a kid in the early 80's to watch Klecko and Gastineau do his sack dance. I was at a Jets/Miami game I think in 1981 when Jets were down 6 with less than 2 min left and Miami had the ball on Jets 35 4th down and 1 . Shula went for the first down and I think Klecko knifed in the backfield and stopped them short. Richard Todd then drove the Jets down and he hit Jerome Barkum with 7 seconds left for the win. Great game to be at. See Ya!

Hello everyone, as you can see by my avatar, I am a Buffalo Bills fan. I'm not here to troll or get into arguments. I thought it'd be nice to come to a rival board and discuss the Jets, Bills, Pats, and Dolphins. I write for a Buffalo sports website and may ask for input from posters here on the site (if interested). Should be a fun year in the AFC East!

Hi everyone
I'm a big Jets fan from across the pond, London, UK and need your advice badly.
I'll be in your beautiful city in October and would like to take in the Dolphins game. Having found lots of potential sites where I can get tickets, I could do with some advice on which ones are the safest. NYC.com was offering tickets and I found a couple of NFL ticket exchange sites, but don't want to commit until I get assurances from someone in the know.
Cheers for now

Hey everyone. Been following football since 2010, and I'm from NYC so I decided to follow the Jets and Giants. Now I live in NC and go to NC State.
This year, I'm all #GangGreen (and a tiny bit of Gmen). Bought a lot of Jets clothing, can't wait to win the Superbowl this year.

And of course, I hate the Patriots. Satan and his dog Cerberus will go down this year.

Hi I'm Matt I'm a die hard Dolphins fan living in Long Island (worst part of it). Whole fam are Jets and Im disgusted by it. My Uncle and Dad are a member of this forum so its time for some family rivals!
On my forum we do things differently Fin-Heaven. We just don't give a F. And we say what we want, and for once I'm happy to say we gave you our old trash rather then vice versa. Sparano is a wash and a 3 point king. Ground n Pound in the NFL will not work! It's a passing league now.
Anyway can't wait to chime in on Tony's miss haps when the season starts.
Just made a great topic on Texans forum on how we will smoke them week 1 with our new star studded QB the next Tommy Brady. Ryan Tannehill! Guys is a stud, and as my dad says best. WOW THOSE ALL WHITE SHOES LOOK FAMILIAR
Well good luck to phins this year, and horrid luck to you! nice meeting you all :rofl2:

Don't think I've ever posted here haha.
Basically a Jets fan from New Zealand. Never grew up on American Football, and only really started following it fully in the 2010 season because of some of my mates. Weird-ish way to become a fan, but I started liking the Jets after playing Madden 10 and originally creating my own player who got drafted by the Jets in it. It was just another game to kill time on the ps3 until my friend, who loves football, started teaching me a bit more about the sport. Learned about players like Revis and Mangold, and then got hit with Hard Knocks and Rex Ryan, which made me fall in love with the team. Absolutely love Rex's swagger and attitude he brings to the team. I've struggled to follow any other team's press conferences from pure boredom, but Rex always says something interesting and has an energy about him.
Favourite player is Revis, liked Leonhard while he was here because of his spirit.
Not sure what else to say really except J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!
Whats up, been a long time member at the newyorkjets.com forum and found this. It seems to be pretty active and I love that. Been a Jets fan my entire life die hard.

I gotta say as an admitted Jet Hater (as it should be) I actually feel sorry for the Jets this year. No that Miami is going to be that great but when I watch the New Tony Sparano Jets offense it gives me nightmares remembering watching the Dolphins go three and out on every freaking drive!!!! Occasionally a field goal was thrown in. You guys are going to suffer a lot this year. I'll go on hating the jets now but man its going to hurt you to watch.

Not a hard core Jets fan yet, I will probably be chastized for admitting I'm a Tebow fan but actually I'm a long time Gator fan. Have been ever since first setting foot on campus in the fall of '63 . That was the same year that Steve Spurrier stepped on campus as a freshman. I remember the night that we beat Joe Willie, Bear Bryant and the rest of the Crimson Tide on their home turf in '65. That was Steve's junior year and Joe Willies senior year. Well a little more than three years later Joe Willie won a Super bowl and I was getting shot at along the Song Dat just south of Danang.
I'm a Floridian by birth and a Gator by the grace of god. During the Korean war years, my dad was flying air-sea rescue and ASW in VP-46 over the sea of Japan and I along with my mom and younger brother were staying with our grand parents out in Nassau County. Will never forget the first time my grand parents took my brother and I over to Flatbush to see the Giants and the Dodgers play at Ebbets field. I've been a Dodger fan ever since even though they abandoned Dodgertown down in Vero Beach a couple of years ago. I would take my son down to watch the pre-season games while they were still there.
I've been an SEC football fan ever since my years at UofF but never had a NFL team to call home. When I was growing up the closest NFL team was the Redskins. Never got into them. When I left the Marines I started watching that upstart team down in Miami :) as they were starting their famous run but lost interest in them when they brought in Marino. After my brother returned from Nam he did some Army reserve training with a couple of guys named Kiick and Csonka.
I am probably stretching myself thin in the forums world so I'll get my post count up over ten and then just lurk for a while longer, as I have 3 Mustang forums, 2 tahoe forums, 2 Rc planes forums and 1 sailing forum. I will however definitely be following the Jets games.

Introduction, my name is Cardken, I live in Louisville Kentucky. Am originally from Kansas City. So grew up in the "dark days" of the 80's in Chiefs Country. My Uncle was a huge sports fan and admirer of Joe Namath, so I followed suit and was a Jets fan as well.
Huge supporter of the current regime, wrote Rex Ryan a letter about his book after I read it, and got a letter back and autographed picture from the man thanking me for support. I thought that was class act considering how busy he is. A few year prior when they had the Head Coaching vacancy, I sent my resume in and got a response back, as they would "keep it on file", lol, it's framed on the Jets wall in my house. As you've probably guessed from my screen name, I'm in Florida and a diehard Gator fan. Yep, I'm here because of Tebow - but don't hate on me please :) I'm ready to get to know the Jets and root for the team as a whole. I did my time getting to know and love the Broncs, but they broke my heart when they signed the Forehead and dumped Tebow. I love college football and I'm a big SEC fan. If the Gators can't win the whole thing, I hope any other SEC team does. My favorite NFL team has always been the Packers, followed by the Jags and Vikings. I personally don't think it's odd for fans to support their favorite QB when he goes to another team. After ya'll ruined Favre (just kidding) I still rooted for him with the Vikings, and I bet a lot of other fans did too. I'm sure that the Forehead's fans are rooting for him now that he's with Denver, too - that's just the way these things go. We all know that it takes teamwork to win, but QBs are like the lead singer of the band - they get all the fan mail.
I've watched every Jets preseason game, and I plan to keep on watching the whole season. I sure hope we can score a TD soon. While I haven't been a Jets fan til now, I will admit that I've always liked Mark Sanchez's butt and me and my girlfriends think ya'll have 2 hot QBs now. See? It can't hurt too much to get some new fans, can it? Girl fans? LOLOLOL

HI..this is Kim...(real name). I am not a new member for I signed up a while ago. However, due to personal family things, I have not had the real chance to set-up my profile and to be part of the forum community. Now, I am back and football season is here.
Unless my eyeballs (lol) are going blind on me...I CANNOT for the dear life of me, figure out how to add a photo(s) to my profile. Nor do I know how post a topic. When I hit new thread, it said I did not have enough posts to comment???
Please help. I am off to do yoga and cardio and will be back later. Please tell me where to find to ad pics and to how to post in the forum.
Thank you for helping me...GO TEBOW and JETS!!!
Kind Regards - Kim

Petrozza,
Thank you for taking a moment in reading my post. I understand now about the post/thread thing. However, I was lost on the avatar/pic thing. Would you mind pointing me to the section in my profile where to go. Thank you and have a good late afternoon.
Kind Regards - Kim

UK Jets fan here, been following the Jets for about 5 years now mainly down to my love for Darrelle Revis. Posted on forums for a couple of years but it was time to get some Jets specific discussion and this seems like the right place!

Second post here and to be honest was a Tebow fan through college and have followed him to NY. Have never been a huge Jets fan before this year but after watching them and keeping up with the Jets I have slowly become a Jets fan (pulled for the Rams most of my life). Allegiances do change and my wardrobe definitely has more green in it right now (and no, not all Tebow stuff).
Look forward to enjoying watching Jets football each week from here in Louisiana.

Hi there! I've been reading the discussions here for mounts now, finally I decided to join. I am from Bulgaria, football here is not very popular, I just want to be able to read some opinions and have nice discussions with knowledgeable people. Last summer I had a conversation with a guy from NY, he tried to convince me that football is more manly, aggressive and interesting from soccer, and since I know football only from some movies I decided to watch an actual game, I have to tell you, it was hard to understand all the rules, penalties, the details in the game, finally I managed to understand the game on my own. I saw some Jets games and first I really liked the uniforms, then I saw Hard Knocks, and they became MY TEAM. I know I am inexperienced fan, but I hope it is OK...

Hello! Jets fan from NJ. I've been a Mets fan all my life and a LA Clippers fan for 3 years. Just got into football last year and started getting really interested in the Jets talk on
ESPN NY Radio when driving to school. Hoping to have great talk with the other members on this board.

Good morning! I wanted to introduce myself to all of the members. My name is Rob and I'm from Westchester County in NY. I have viewed these forums for awhile now, use the Android App religiously for all of my Gang Green news and updates, and have been a Jets fan for as long as I can remember. After reading multiple posts, I decided it was about time for me to join so that I can give my input on various issues regarding our New York Jets. Here's to hoping my honest opinions, values, ideas, and suggestions can be taken under consideration. I've been through the good times and the bad with this team. And even though I'm only 29, I have heard the many different horror stories of past seasons. I love football, especially my Jets, and watch almost every game on the weekends. I look forward to hearing from all fellow Jets fans and their take on different topics, and I hope you enjoy any I post! :metal:

Never liked/hated Jets before Tebow. Any team that takes a gamble on Tebow is my team. Lived mostly in Louisville, CO so am a 35 year Bronco fan and always will be. Now live in Chargerville but the Chargers suck. ABSOLUTELY HATE THE PATS and if you all hate the PATS that will be enough reason for me to stay a JETS fan now.
Only team I hate as much as the PATS is the RAIDERS.
Houston born and raised. Full time Texans fan, part time NFL fan.

drs23 here, a Texans fan. Looking forward to our respective teams' matchup on Monday night.
Here's to a good game with both teams coming out clean. NO INJURIES!
After a Texans win of course.
Oh, and... :manning:, the Pey-me-a-ton one, that is. I kinda like Eli.
