View Full Version : What jersey should I get for 2010?

Right now I have three outdated jerseys and one Favre t-shirt. I almost swore off buying jerseys alltogether. Of the jerseys I own, this is what I currently have: a replica green Pennington, an authentic stitched home Pennington, and a replica home Coles.

This year I want to make sure I get someone who's going to be around for a while, so here's what I'm thinking of:

Mangold
Revis
Scott
Leonhard
Wilson

I'm leaning toward Revis Christ right now, but I'm sorta tempted to go with a lesser known player so that it's a little more unique. What do you guys think?

I'm in the same boat, I own Rhodes, Favre, and Keyshawn

I'm personally learning towards Sanchez, but have also been thinking Wilson a bit as well.

Mangold is a nice pick as well, if you're a bigger guy I'd totally go with that one

You can't really go wrong with any of those Jerseys though, they're all Jets!

I have a Revis, bought it before this past season started. The jerseys great, but when I wear it now I feel like people think I'm a bandwagon Jets poser. That's why my next jersey will be someone obscure like Ihedigbo.

Why don't you slap a "HOLMES" nameplate over your authentic Pennington?

Actually I considered that, but it looks like the name kits you can buy online don't come pre-assembled, and I don't have a sewing machine.. But, that's a mighty fine idea.

Call the number here, tell them you want a Jets nameplate. They used to supply the NY Giants with uniforms, and they are the only place I know of who will sew a name on a nameplate. They have the Jets colors, and name font in stock. I did it last year on two jerseys. Technically it's against NFLPA guidelines, but they will do it for you...

Revis or Sanchez. Go long term investment with either of those two.

i bought
2001 abraham
2002 coles
2003 cowart
2004 mccareins ( authentic)
2005 barrett & vilma (authentic)

so i guess going the "lesser know player" has its disadvantages

I know what you mean I was thinking about getting a Westerman jersey but I would hate for it to be like so many that went out and got the Gholston jersey and now they're too ashamed to put it on

I went "lesser known" with Jon McGraw and that didn't work out too well for me. Big reason why instead of spending $80-220 on a Woodhead jersey I just took white athletic tape and put it over my old Santana Moss jersey and wrote with a sharpie WOODHEAD.

I got a Mangold jersey custom when we drafted him.

Now everyone has them because they sell them in the stores.

I still wear it to games though.

Right now I'm thinking Mangold, Sanchez or Harris. However if its Harris or Mangold then I'm waiting till they sign the big contract. Last time I was in the market for a jersey, I wanted Leon but held up until he signed the contract extension. Good move for me

Mangold is going nowhere. He'll be here for at least 6 more years.
