Titans | Police and courts: Drug bust in Tennessee
Sat, 15 Apr 2006 08:35:41 -0700
Jim Wyatt and Christian Bottorff, of the Tennessean report nine people were arrested on suspicion of having roles in two major drug rings that trafficked cocaine and marijuana in Sumner and Davidson counties in Tennessee. One man, from Nashville, has possible ties to Tennessee Titans CB Adam Jones, authorities said Friday, April 14. Officers seized 1,653 pounds of marijuana, 128 pounds of cocaine, more than 20 vehicles and $608,000, police said. Many of the questions at a news conference surrounded the possible connection to Jones. Davidson County District Attorney Torry Johnson said that Jones is an acquaintance of suspect Darryl Jerome Moore, an aspiring rap singer who was released early last year from federal prison in California. Jones' nickname was embroidered as "Pac Man" on the black leather seats of a 2004 Cadillac XLR, a pricey sports car that authorities confiscated from Moore's apartment. Jones' Nashville attorney, Roger May, said yesterday that the car does not belong to his client, and he said he does not know if Jones ever owned or drove the car. Jones' sports agent, Michael Huyghue, said yesterday that he had advised his client not to comment.

Unfortunately for the District Attorney's office being friends with a drug dealer does not make you a drug dealer.

HOW COULD ANYONE HAVE 1,653 lbs of marijuana?
It would take 4.5 pounds per day to get rid of in a year!

good for the Titans, thats what they get for choosing Pacman over Antrel Rolle. He did nothing in college but he ran fast at the combine. Thats what happens when you emphasize combine numbers too much.

no one on this board wanted that man, no one. We were pissed about that pick from day one, seeing how we already had 2 great DEs and needed a safety

Last year I wasn't sure who was stupider... Tennessee with Jones over Rolle or Minnesota with Williamson over Williams. Now it's Tennessee by a long shot.

They traffic it, meaning they sell and distribute. If it was their own personal stash... well then hell, i dont know.
He's done nothing wrong. So he knows a guy, wtf? Some of you guys are blowing this up... others are smoking it.... :D

we just assume the worst because Pacman isnt a player of good character. Its not like a ton of weed was found in Tiki Barber's car.

I'm not trying to blow this out of proportion, by any means because i'm not as big as others on off the field issues, but that is a ton of pot. (not too far from literally)

Uncharacteristic as it was for the Titans to draft a guy with character flaws, it does fit in with how they draft overall. Defense has been an emphasis for them for a long time
That being said, the guy is just an associate at this point. I doubt they get to Pacman. Besides, the Titans are being stupid enough with regards to McNair

Yeah, Pac Man may not be a stand-up guy, but he hasn't done anything wrong in this case. Also...that's a frickin' helluva lot of doobage and coke.
For some reason, the title of the thread reminded me of that Futurama ep where General Pacman got whacked by Space Invaders. wakka wakka wakka.

this doesn't mean pacman is in trouble. Just because you know someone who get's in trouble does not mean you are in trouble.
