"Used to be" being the operative phrase. I wonder what Pat fans are saying about this signing. They were railing on Vinatieri after he left for being too old and not getting enough distance in his kickoffs. Well Gramatica is only 3 years younger and gets even less distance in his kickoffs. Not to mention the fact that he SUCKS!

Grammatica isn't being given the job. He'll be part of a group, possibly including a draft pick, to audition for the job during training camp.
Jones is nowhere near a great safety but Miami paid him $6 mil last year. At $2 mil for two years he's useful as a backup and has always been a great special teams player.
