Actually I believe we do get in if Baltimore loses tonight, and we lose to Seattle but beat Miami. We'd beat the Phins head to head and the Ravens on a strength of schedule tiebreak.

That said I'd rather root for Baltimore, because a win hurts the Pats AND Cowboys, two teams I can't stand and we still have destiny in our hands with two wins, if we can't beat Seattle tomorrow we don't deserve to make the playoffs anyway.

I don't know all the tie-breakers, but Dallas is not dead in the water by any means. Baltimore needed this game more.

You have Tampa Bay at 9-5, Atlanta at 9-5, and Philadelphia at 8-5-1. If Dallas owns the tiebreakers, all they really need is Tampa Bay or Atlanta to lose once in the next 2 weeks, plus take care of Philadelphia themselves.

by the way, you can't expect players to have the brains or the selflessness to do this, but McClain should not have scored on that long run. A smart player takes a knee inside the 10 so the Ravens can run clock. That's what Westbrook did last year.

I don't know that I need to bother with Steelers-Titans because I think either one could win in the other one's stadium should they meet in the AFC title game. The Titans could lose today and then go to Pittsburgh in January and win with Haynesworth and Vanden Bosch back in the lineup.

We get Arizona-Cheatriots early (was hoping for games on both networks. oh well) and Philly-Washington along with Jets-Seattle late.

I wish Philly-Washington was early. If the Cheats game was later, Arizona might have a better chance, and that's also not likely going to be competitive. Philly-Washington and Jets-Seattle are the better games and going up against each other.

Cassell is a system qb , great oline, great wrs , bright oc and ( hate to say it) one of the top 5 head coaches everEvery QB is a system QB to a certain degree. You think New England would be in contention right now with David Carr, Joey Harrington, or Rohan Davey?

The O'Donnell signing was two years after the Mitchell one, O'Donnell was coming off a Super Bowl appearance, the Jets were desperate to win- all that explains the difference in pay.
Mitchell's contract was big when he signed it. I understand the comparison to O'Donnell, but just think a comparison to Mitchell works a little more.
