"They play the Super Bowl here next year,'' Dolphins receiver Chris Chambers told the crowd at the Broward County Convention Center, ``and I'll be damned if we're not the ones playing in our own stadium.''

Who cares? He's an idiot - didn't even earn this year's Pro Bowl.

When everyone's undefeated, people say some crazy 'ish. Chambers is just making his own version of those silly "get your story straight" commercials.

I think the Phins have a lot better chance at contention than a lot of teams that will surely be ranked higher once those idiotic Power Rankings come out.

I could probably only name 4 better WRs in the AFC.
Harrison. Ward. Johnson. Moss.

I could name some additional guys, who made some more of the "catches in traffic".
additionally to your names:
Reggie Wayne - Ashley Lelie - Randy Moss (even though he was injured all year long)
I mean he dropped a lot.

I said Randy Moss. Santana is in the NFC.
I do not agree with either Wayne or Lelie being better.

I'm not sold on them yet, I don't think they solved the QB problem with Culpepper. I don't think he is going to be right for a while, if ever...

Keep telling yourself that....
On the contrary, he's ahead of schedule, and he's saying he'll be ready on opening day. Why should I believe anything different...
As for Miami hosting their own Super Bowl, Chambers is reaching just a tad. We're certainly a playoff team, but anything more is wishful thinking at this time. Maybe if we're looking strong half way through the season, I'll change my mind. Until then, I'm not chanting Super Bowl just yet....

I'm humble, but I'm not crazy. Making Super Bowl predictions in March is crazy...

I too was wonderning what happened to the Captain Obvious "Later" line. :breakdance:
As for Miami, I think they seriously going to contend for the Super Bowl. I wouldn't say Chambers 'predicts' with that line, but he is confident and I for one think he should be.

Yea, Brooks Bollinger was 4 yards and 4 downs from taking them late last year. I have no wild ideas that we're a better team, but I'm not sold on the Dolphins. Saban is solid, though.

I gave him the credit of being at least the 5th best WR in the AFC and you're still trying to push me for more? Are you going to say that HINES WARD and RANDY MOSS are inferior because they posted smaller yardage totals?

Wonderful Job chris, youve just effectively jinxed your team. Have a great season. Idiot

Yah , I guess chris chamber is better then Randy Moss now. Keep in mind randy played injured most of last season and still hit 1 thousand yards. Thats scary

The numbers he's put up have been with constant double teams and Clowns at QB. He's arguable the most athletically gifted WR in the NFL, and No One makes the spectacular catches that he makes on a regular basis.
Then again, no one is being thrown uncatchable balls on a regular basis either.

I dunno, Miami are certainly the pre-season favourites to win the Division in my eyes.
One thing we can all agree on is that it won't be Buffalo. :)

Believe me, I rate Chambers far higher than most non-phinfans. I placed him under some guys that aren't exactly mediocre.
You rate Chambers where you know he deserves to be. You rate Chambers higher than most Jets fans, yes, I'll give you that much. The rest of the NFL's fan base has started to take notice though, as demonstrated in his most recent Pro-Bowl.
What I know, is that with a half way decent QB comes higher stats, and with higher stats comes recognition. Your average fan basis talent level on production - and Chambers hasn't had the opportunity to produce in the past.
Hopefully that changes.
Hypothetically, Culpepper lights Chambers up for 1500 yards and 16 TD's - everybody will be saying that he's finally blossomed into the WR he always had the potential to be. Many would argue him to be one of the best as well. With the right QB he's more than capable of surpassing those numbers.
It's all about Production.

JHT, what's the scoop on the Dolphins draft day picks?
JHT, what's the scoop on the Dolphins draft day picks? As of right now we've got holes in the Secondary, O-Line, and LB positions.
If we Ink Arrington, who's coming back to Miami for a 2nd visit and manage to sign an impact Lineman or Defensive back Saban has just about filled every position of need. Saban is quietly collecting the puzzle pieces and putting them together.
If we fail to get Arrington, I want Greenway. Otherwise I'd like Tye Hill - since I think a trade up to get Huff is probably out of the Question.

#1) I hate Miami, and I'd hate to see them in the Super Bowl, but they have all the pieces in place now. It all depends on how Culpepper plays.
#2) Chris Chambers is an EXCELLENT player, and the only wide receiver in our division who strikes fear into the hearts of his opponents. He can say whatever he wants.

No question talent wise he is up there BUT until this year he was basically an average player. 1 season doesn't move him into the elite prmanently, he has to prove it wasn't a fluke and I don't want to here the QB excuse. He had competent QBs throwing to him(it wasn't like he had 5 diff QBs throwing to him in 1 year). Big time WRs will get their #s(remember Key made Ray Lucas look like a good QB). Chambers appears to be blossoming but we'll see.

I've been second guessing our selection of Moss over Chambers in the 2001 draft since about 2002. Even though Chambers hasn't been putting up monster numbers, you could see his talent. He just needs a QB. If Culpepper brings some stability there, he'll do even better next year.
As for the Super Bowl prediciton, at least one guy does this every year. Last year I believe it was Tony Gonzalez.

Moss has been better than Chambers, Moss has had 2 big time seasons compared to just 1 for Chambers.

Moss was never consistent here. Especially with Chad. That combined with his injuries had me thinking that Chambers would have been a better fit here.

i think some jets players said we were gonna make a run last year too -- ooppsss
when a team makes a lto of changes at key spots you never run the table -- a new QB with a ? knee -- they one 6 straight with their team last year -- should have stuck with it.

I am a big Chambers fan and if he's not a top 10 WR, he's prety damn close at this point.
While I like Miami's chances of winning the division, I need to see a little more of Culpepper's rehab before I think they are a Super Bowl team. Regardless the turnaround by Saban has been quite impressive.

I could see it happening. I sure as hell don't want it to, but it is realistic. They will almost definitely take the division.
