Round 1: Amobi Okeye NT Louisville 6’1 317 Perfect fit at the nose, and allows Dewayne to move to that end position which he will be a great fit at since he is a pass-rushing tackle. Extremely young at 19 for being a rookie in the NFL which is also an avantage. (Pro Comparison-Jason Ferguson)

Round 2: LaMarr Woodley OLB Michigan 6’2 274 Seems to be perfectly for the 3-4 cause he played de and lb in college. Great size plays faster than his timed speed and is a sack specialist.Really was projected as a top 20 pick but with the lack of Michigan playing games late in the season and other players coming out he has slipped in the late 1st early 2nd round slots. Its fine for us cause we will profit from that.(Pro Comparison-Joey Porter).

Round 2: Brandon Meriweather S Miami FL 6’0 195 A sure first rounder at the beginning of the season but fell off due to some incidents, didn't really have a bad year just didn’t have that monster season he had in 05.Still talented and the canes did have #4 ranked defense last year overall. (Pro Comparison-Ed Reed).

Round 3: Paul Williams WR Fresno State 6’2 210 - Great speed running a 4.35 good size to go with it standing at 6’2.Underutilized at Fresno and had a much better season last year. Regardless could be the great deep threat that we are missing in the offense. (Pro Comparison-Bernard Berrian)

Round 5: [ Baraka Atkins DE Miami,FL 6’4 275 - A fallen UM prospect Baraka was considered a possible first rounder at the beginning of the season, but will likely fall into a middle round, if he is there I say we take him because he does have experience at the DT position which will make it easier for him to adjust to that 3-4 spot. (Pro Comparison-Shaun Ellis).

Round 6: [ Chris Henry 6’0 225 RB Arizona - A physical runner with very good speed , really underused at Arizona and never really got to shine there hopefully he gets a chance with us, he really could be a steal if he is taught well. (Pro Comparison-Willis McGahee).

Round 7: [ Ramonce Taylor ATH Texas 5’11 195 - Really cant think of a position for him right now but the guy could play period. Running back, receiver and cornerback are some positions he could potentially play for us, has 4.3 speed and was a key reason why Texas won a national championship in 05.Normally I guy wouldn’t fall so low due to his talent but remember he didn’t play for Texas this season.(Pro Comparison-Devin Hester).

I dont really think that a beast like Amobi Okoye will drop to our pick.. That just seems too unlikely.

Woodley in round 2? Pipe dream. I'll take the odds on a snowball in hell over that. Much will change after the senior bowl and combine tho....

Oh there is a great chance that Woodley falls to the second round. In fact I am willing to bet you he does. Care to wager?

my main problem is youve pretty much neglected improving the rb position, our biggest need imo. with this roster we dont make it past round 1 of playoffs if we make it at all based on that alone.

I disagree on both counts. I don't see RB as a major need and I think this team would be a playoff contender. My only complaint: Not enough depth on the O-line.

I don't agree with most of this...and I think its next to impossible to predict signings, ect. so I'll assume that to be more of a wish list. But i have to commend you with not being among the many who are for some reason in love with the Rutgers FB, its distrubing to see him go as high as 1st in some peoples mocks..what because we play in NJ we should get him?

RB is a need on this team but its gonna be really hard to address, Marshawn Lynch is most likely gonna be gone by our pick in the first round. Whos to say that Michael Turner will be a jet for sure, we are not the only team who needs a rb, and just because we need a runningback doesnt mean we should pick anybody i dont really have faith in any runningbacks that are projected to be picked in the 2nd or 3rd rounds.Lynch and Peterson are the only rbs i see really being forces years to come, saying that Chris Henry my projected 6th round is someone i see if put in the right situation can be a probowl calibur back, good size 4.4 speed and was underused in college.

There's no chance we can go this offseason without upgrading at right tackle and right guard... I like the draft, I'd much rather see a Ben Grubbs or Tim Duckworth over Williams in the 3rd.

Don't think Merriweather is a Mangini kindof guy.

Washington, Houston, Barlow combine for 3.5 ypc. WE NEED A RB.

Washington had a 4.3 ypc which is not bad but Houston a 3.3 ypc which kinda bad and Barlow had 2.8 which is horride. I think if we get Turner he will have a 4.5 ypc or higher.

I for one would be elated if Okoye fell in our laps with our number 1.

I don't think Turner would be near as productive as he was in San Diego over here. For one, their line is better and they have that monster FB Lorenzo Neal.

Once we get at least one upgrade at either LG, RG or RT and a better blocking FB, I garuntee that Houston and Washington could both easily put up 4.3+ ypc. I wouldn't be upset if we got Turner, but I think that if we make those upgrades, Washington & Houston will surprise many people.

I have no support for Barlow & Blaylock. They're both lousy anywehere IMO. Barlow is slow and doesn't seem to fight for yards like Houston does. Blaylock is just a HUGE dissapointment/bust.

Cosign. I would dance in the streets if we got ahold of Okoye. He's the only stud NT prospect in this draft. If I were Mangini, I would keep my eye on him and offer a trade-up to get him. He's the only guy in this draft I would consider trading up for, but I think he would be well worth it.

I don't think Woodley falls to round 2. Too many teams are going to the 34 and need a passing rush OLB. Without a doubt we use a pick for an offensive lineman. Kendall is getting old, Moore is just ok, and RT is just mediocre. We need to find this years Ryan O'Callaghan.

I fully agree. The questions then arise: How far do we have to trade up to get him, and to what cost? Is it worth it to miss out on Lamar Woodley (a second round pick) to get him? Maybe even more.

I think woodley falls Jarvis Moss,Victor Abiamiri are both rated higher than him(both 3-4 lbs) and some even fell Anthony Spencer is better i really think Woodley will be there at our first 2nd round pick.
