Very simple: Choose who you think will be the best player from this draft at each position. If you want to select and underclassman who you think will come out this year, that is fine. I'm very curious to compare some people's lists now to what they say when the draft rolls around in the spring.

I'll do the offense now and the defense tomorrow:

WR: Ted Ginn Jr., Ohio State
WR: Calvin Johnson, GT
TE: Scott Chandler, Iowa
OT: Joe Thomas, Wisconsin
OT: Ryan Harris, Notre Dame
OG: Justin Blaylock, Texas
OG: Ben Grubbs, Auburn
C: Doug Datish, Ohio State

Nice thread: could we perhaps do one or two threads not with the "best" at each position but with the second or third best at each position? With our high picks a lot of the best players won't be available by the time we get to pick; so a second or third best team from the draft would contain some of the players the Jets are likely to pick up, rather than the best players.

Before I post, I just want to let everybody know that I watch quite a bit of college football and I will almost never go with the "popular pick."

QB-Trent Edwards. This guy kind of reminds me of Pennington, only difference is that he doesnt have the poise that Chad has. The guy has a great completion percentage on a team that flat out sucks.
RB-Michael Bush. I see him as a McGahee coming out, a guy with a big injury but he will be a beast in the NFL with size and speed. He can make all the cuts and he can run you over at the same time.
FB-Brian Leanoard. Seeing that he is the only FB that is even good enough to come out of the draft, he deserves this spot. I think he'll be picked somewhere between the 2nd and 3rd round. Mike Alstott type but he is more shifty the Alstott.
WR-Calvin Johnson. Personally I think he is one of the best WR to come out of the draft since Randy Moss. The guy can catch anything, and he goes up for the ball. Has good speed and will be a top 3 pick IMO.
WR-Dewayne Jarrett. Very good hands, Not as fast as you would think, I see him more as a possession reciever who can go across the middle. I see him as a Keyshawn Johnson type reciever.
TE- Joe Newton. Really good recieving TE, OK blocker. Comes out of the same mold as a Frank Wycheck.
OT- Joe Thomas. This guy is a true gamer, he will be a top 3 pick and he deserves it, I think he's even better then D'Brick. He has great size and his run blocking abilities are almost not human.
OT- Tony Ugoh. He is by far the second best OT in the draft, has good size and decent speed. He does a nice job getting into the open field after intial line duties. He is versitile too, could even move to other T position or even guard.
OG-Justin Blalock. Try to push this guy over, you will have more luck pushing a house down. Guy is huge, he is like a steam roller.
OG- Marshall Yanda. He reminds me a lot of Pete Kendall, he doesnt have the best size, or is the best athelete, but he will beat you with his knowledge and picture perfect technique.
C-Ryan Kalil. I dont really know much about the C this year, very dissappointing draft for this position.
DE- Quinten Moses. This guy is D'Brick but reversed onto the D side of the ball. He has amazing speed and will be in the backfield almost every play if you allow him. He may not be heavy enough to take the everyday grind of football but I think he is the best DE in the draft.
DE-Victor Abiamiri. Im making this pick as one of my sleeper picks because he has the most potential out of all DE, he is going to go in the first 2 rounds anyway but I think he can be great at the next level.
DT- Kareem Brown. This guy racks up tackles and when you watch him in a game, all you notice is #99, he is all over the place. He has good height but not good size, not a good 3-4 DT.
OLB- Paul Posluszny. When you have a guy with 100+ tackles in college, you know he is going to be a good pro. He is a very good athlete and plays sideline to sideline. Also keep in mind Prescott Burgess he will be good too. (DeMecco Ryans type)
MLB- Partick Willis. Great speed, a very good pass rushing LB, but dont pick him if you run a 3-4. A lot like Vilma.
CB- Leon Hall. Will be a solid Pro, and should be selected with the first 20 picks.
S- Michael Griffen. Best S hands down, not even close. He will be much better then Landry. He can hit hard, drop back into coverage very well and has a nose for the ball.
K- Mason Crosby. Unbelieveable leg.

FB Brian Leonard, Rutgers
WR Dwayne Jarrett, USC
WR Calvin Johnson, Georgia Tech (note that I put down Jarrett first)
TE Greg Olsen, Miami
LT Joe Thomas, Wisconsin

CB Leon Hall, Michigan
S LaRon Landry, LSU

HB Tony Hunt, Penn State
OT Jake Long, Michigan
DT Frank Okam, Texas
CB Darrelle Revis, Pittsburgh
