Bills won't take a QB...Losman is their future now.

You might be right.... I cant think of anyone else except teams who want to put pressure on there QBs like the 49ers. Alex Smith has been a joke.

I like Russell very much. I think he's a better version of Daunte Culpepper.
Other names to consider-
Kevin Kolb
John Beck
Jordan Palmer (Carson's brother)
Tyler Palko
Jeff Rowe
Drew Tate

How do you pin them to teams at this point???
I think Kolb and Brohm might be the best QBs in the draft.

I go Russell 1, no questions about it.
I might go Kolb 2.

Tyler Palko is my sleeper pick in next year's draft. He has a strong arm that is very, very accurate, he's played in an NFL style system at Pittsburgh and he's noted for being a great leader. Take him off of Pitt's **** team and put him on Ohio State or USC and I honestly believe that he could've been a Heisman-caliber player.

It's a complete crapshoot, but I'll do like the opening said and take a wild stab in the dark with my top 10.
To be groomed as a potential starter
Brady Quinn- Lions in 1
Troy Smith- Panthers in 1
Brian Brohm- Jaguars in 1
JaMarcus Russell- Raiders in 2
Drew Stanton- Ravens in 3
As competition for a mediocre guy
Jordan Palmer - Buccaneers in 4
To groom as a backup
Tyler Palko - Rams in 4
Kevin Kolb - Jets in 5
Chris Leak - Giants in 5
John Beck - Chiefs in 5

My list would be fairly similar to that of Donnie. Just a few points:
- Troy Smith is my #1 QB, without question. He's got a great arm, and his intangible qualities blow the others out of the water.
- Brian Brohm is next up, I don't think he'll ever be a dominating QB, but he can be a winner/champion if he gets a stud with him like Philip Rivers.
- Quinn I'm iffy on, good enough talent, just doesn't stand out to me. He needs a great coach.
- Russell is another guy that I'm unimpressed with. He has an absolute cannon, no question (probably the best arm I've seen since I started following the draft), but he never appeared to me as the type to elevate his teammates. He has a ways to go before he can be an effective NFL QB. I have him as a 2nd rounder based on physical skills.

i just dont think smith will be the 1st or 2nd QB taking in the draft bc of his height but i could be wrong

If Detroit loses out, they will take Quinn, no question. I could definitely see Russell on the Raiders or even in Miami with Saban.

Regardless of whether Quinn is the best QB, Detroit will definitely take him. Their first pick will be completely based on hype.
Do you really see Carolina going QB in the first round? No love for Chris Weinke?
Also, I've heard rumors that the Raiders are going to make a play for Byron Leftwich. I could definitely see that happening because Leftwich sucks and the Raiders management is very dumb. So I wonder how that will play out on the QB draft picture if it happens.

They might because Weinke will be 35 next season and Delhomme will be 32.
I don't see why Russell shouldn't stay, he could be the top QB next year if he stays, improves his game, and possibly gets a NC or even Heisman with LSU.

How about the Browns? Does the organization trust Frye with the keys to the franchise?
And having an Akron guy starting for Cleveland may be nice for the fans, but not as nice as the guy who led Ohio State to face-wrecking dominance.

A good late round tryout would be Zac Taylor of Nebraska. Tall enough, good experience, does need some meat on the bones.
