My best: That Charless Tillman would be a steal at corner out of Louisiana Lafayette and that Nathan Vasher would be a steal in the 4th.
That Jonathan Vilma Would be great for the Jets despite what people said about him being to cerebral and having knee surgery.
That Andre Johnson would be better than Charles Rogers and that he would be a bust.
That Kevin Williams out of texas would be better than our DWayne Robertson(sadly)
That Troy Polamalu would be a steal at 16

Worst
That Roy Williams out of texas would be a bust for the lions
That Lofa Tatupu was a reach in the second.
That Larry Johnson would be a bust
That Ryan Sims would be Dominant and a Pro bowler
That Dwight Freeney would be average

Best predictions:

Vilma..... being selected by the Jets...predicted it in Dec of 2003.
Heath Miller........being an outstanding player.

Worst predictions:

Ryan Leaf.............I liked Leaf.
Chris Gamble......I thought he would be a bust, turned out to be a good CB for Carolina.

Best: I don't have any good predictions.

Worst: J.J. Arrington would be the best RB out of last year's class.

Best:
Vilma would be really good

LT would be a top 3 RB.....top 5 pick, but some people said he wouldn't be that great in the nfl because of the option offense he was in

Passing on ed reed was a mistake(serious understatement)

Worst:

Joey Harrington would be a star (come on he looked sooo solid coming out his senior year)

Peter Warrick would be a stud

Dewayne would tear the league up

Best
Peyton Manning > Ryan Leaf
Ben Roethlisberger > Phillip Rivers
The Falcons/Chargers 2001 draft trade would be extraordinarily beneficial for both teams.
The Giants made a huge mistake drafting a backup TE instead of Chris Simms.
The Giants should not trade up for Eli Manning.
Alex Smith = RRRREEEEEAAAAAACCCCCHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
Carolina will be able to successfully "coach up" Chris Gamble.
Jason Witten & L.J. Smith > Bennie Joppru
Andre Johnson > Charles Rogers (although I didn't anticipate Rogers' injury problems)
Shawn Merriman > DeMarcus Ware
The Bears don't need a running back at #4. Thomas Jones is a fine starter.
J.J. Arrington is massively overrated.
Adam Jones is massively overrated
Marion Barber III = steal

Worst
The Jets will draft Dunta Robinson #12. Vilma will get stuck on the depth chart behind Sam Cowart.
Joey Harrington = stud
The Giants WOULDN'T trade up for Eli Manning.
DeMarcus Ware = bust
Joey Harrington = stud
No way the Lions would use a top ten pick on a wide receiver THREE YEARS RUNNING.
Osi Umenyiora? Massive reach there. William Joseph on the other hand is a steal.
Robert Gallery is an absolute MONSTER.
Ben Wilkerson, Michael Munoz, Adam Bergen, Jason White, T.A. McLendon, Kay-Jay Harris, Brandon Browner, C.J. Brooks, James Butler and Ernest Shazor will be drafted.
I garunteed a couple of people that Maurice Clarett will not be a day one draft pick
I think a lot of us overrated Elton Brown. Pretty badly too.

Best
Jets will draft Vilma, and he will be a stud.
Carson Palmer will become one of the best QBs in the NFL, no doubt.
Ben Roethlisberger is the best QB in the 2004 class.
Marion Barber III is a lot better than JJ Arrington. A LOT better.
Anquan Boldin is underrated.
The big QBs in 2002 and 2005 are overrated, big time (Carr, Harrington, Smith, Rodgers.)
Clinton Portis is a top talent.
Peyton Manning will be a statistical machine, but choke in the playoffs.
Tom Brady has some upside (for a 6th round pick, I was some what right.)
Whoever picks Quincy Carter is making a HUGE mistake.
Ron Dayne = Bust
Travis Taylor = Bust

Worst
Ryan Leaf will be in that 10-15 range of QBs, with a few real good years here and there.
Robert Gallery will be a top 5 LT within 3 years.
Reggie Williams will be a big time WR.
Chris Gamble will take a long time to develop, if he develops at all.
Larry Johnson will be average/slightly above average.
Jets should grab Antaaj Hawthorne in the 2nd/3rd round.
I don't like trading up, but it was worth it for DeWayne Robertson.
Travis Minor > Rudi Johnson
Chad Pennington will be a top 5 QB for 10-12 years.
Rashaun Woods = Stud

That's it for now. Believe me, I've been off many other times.

Yep, as well as Ben Wilkerson. Crickett mentioned him, and I thought he would go in the 3rd round, 4th at the latest.

Good:
Chad Johnson was the best WR in the 2001 class. (I desperately wanted the Jets to take him at pick 19; they traded up three spots and took Santana Moss.)
Brian Dawkins was going to be real good.

Bad:
Marcus Nash was going to be good in the NFL. (He was good in the AFL.)
David Terrell was going to be good.

Way too many on both sides to even be close to remembering. I'll just try and figure my best/worsrt:

Best: Mark Bradley was going to fly up the draft boards. This was back at the tail end of his junior year, when to most people he was nothing more than OU's rarely used 3rd WR (a corner convert at that), and barely a day 2 prospect. He ended up going #36 or so overall.

Also called Aaron Rodgers as a big time prospect probably 1 or 2 starts into his career at Cal after Juco.

Worst: James Butler and Donte Nicholson were the best Safeties in last year's class by far. Donte wasn't picked until the 4th, and Butler went undrafted. Still a joke though, considering Butler, as a UDFA played, even started for the Giants last year, and is already better than 85% of the safety class ever will be.

I remember calling that Freeney would be a great DE and was a steal because I saw him play a few times at SU and he was so fast and a monster.

Worst : David Terrell being awesome

Oh thats right Rashaun Woods out of Oklahoma State They had him on NFL network at his pro day or combine and he was catching everything in site. I was like oh my god he's going to be a steal for the 49ers I wonder what happened?

Best : Tiki Barber I knew the Giants had got an absolute steal
when they took him in the 2nd round

Worst was in 2003 I realy screwed the pooch in this draft.I loved Boss Bailey,Kelley Washington and Tyron Calico all 3 are worthless

Learn To Swim
02-19-2006, 05:13 PM
Best: Osi Umenyiora would be a great pickup because he would have Strahan to learn the position from.

Worst: Dayne over Alexander wouldn't be regretable.

Best: That Brees would NOT relinquish his job to that Rivers guy
Dwight Freeney would tear up the league rookie year, he's the guy i wanted most that year, ahead of both Reed and of course that thomas dude the we took...

Worst: Jets will take Ernest Shazor in the fourth Round of last years draft for the second year in a row safety steal!

2005 I predicted Heath Miller would be a perrenial Pro Bowl TE... Justin Miller would be a bust.

2004 I loved Jonothon Vilma and Derrick Strait.... first time I was really delighted with a Jets draft.

2003. Before the trade I had the Jets hopefully taking Ty Warren and Nick Barnett... Either are better than DeWayne Robertson

2002 Like most I had the Jets taking Ed Reed

2001 Loved Damion Lewis... Close to a bust. Santana Moss was the better choice.

2000 I had the Jets taking Chad Pennington, Anthony Becht, Julian Peterson and Morris, the bust WR.

This year..... AJ Hawk

That was an interesting take on it. Ed Reed.. Lets see how he does after his recent injury.

lmao, i thought the same thing about him. He was breaking records along with Fitzgerald in college and i thought he was gonna be the 2nd best WR behind Fitz.

For me, i always brag to my friends how i know how to pick em in the draft. I dont make many predictions but when I do, theyre money. i've probably only had a handful of picks blow up in my face.

Dunta Robinson was going to suck ass
Dewayne was going to tear shit up
Rashaun Woods was going to be a star
Eli Manning was going to be a bust
Kellen Winslow was going to set records as a TE

everything else has pretty much been money. Its not rocket science, i just go based off of what they accomplished in college, i dont go based on potential shown at the combine, cause those are the guys who can blow up in your face.

I was a HUGE Mo Lewis fan when he was at Georgia. When the Jets picked him I retired my Mickey Shuler jersey on the spot and got my #57

I was wrong with Rashaun Woods thought he would be a great WR.

Best: Clinton Portis - Always saw something really special in him.
Dwayne Robertson - Knew he was way too over hyped

Worst: Boss Bailey - I thought he had Hall of Fame written all over him.
Big Ben - I was thrilled Pitts took him...Thought Big Ben would be a big flop. Fuck was I wrong!

Man,

Let me think here. I thought Joey Harrington was going to be a stud:) still stand by it... just playin

My main one I missed out on was I thought Reggie Williams was just going to be a straight machine, way off on that.

I was right about Chris Gamble, Kevin Williams, & knew that Kyle Boller and Lossman would stink. That wasnt that hard to tell though. Was right on the crappiness of Tyler Brayton and that Ndasi Ashaomanga dude. Was right on the crappiness of Ryan Simms too.

I had no idea who John Abraham even was
I thought Maurice Clarett would light it up (though I still wouldn't ahve taken him in the third)
Antonio Bryant would be awesome
William Green would be awesome
Greg Jones would be the best Jones of the three Joneses

Losing out on Byron and taking Boller was the worst move Ozzie would ever make, Trufant would be better than Newman. Urlacher, Richard Seymour and Shaun Rogers, Ed Reed and John Henderson, Lance Briggs and Pisa Tinoisamoa, Vilma and Chris Snee were my favorite player in each of their respective years. (last year I liked Fabian Washington and Barrett Ruud; this year I like Greg Eslinger and DeAngelo)

LMAO, you like Hawaii 5-0.

Greg Jones is the man too bad the Jags use him too much as a FB. When they put him in at HB when Fred got hurt, he tore shit up. Greg Jones is a beast. I can still see the image of him in college destroying a defender and knocking the guys helmet off due to the whiplash.

Yeah that was a nasty hit just literally steamrolling the guy.
