Gillete Stadium has the worst field in the NFL. The center of the field is devoid of grass. Mud bowl indeed.

The Pats replaced the middle of their field before the Colts game, so it should be good to go.

I agree. The first thing that comes to mind when thinking about a game in poor weather conditions is a game of tough running and tough defense. Both of which happen to be Jets' weaknesses and Patriots' strengths. It's not exactly like the Jets had that good of a chance to begin with, but this certainly doesn't help.

Well there still is 40+ minutes until gametime, maybe the worst of it will have passed by then. I really wish this was a 4 oclock game.

The Steelers have by far the worst field in football, gets worse as the season progresses.

Wishful thinking. Aside from yesterday, the weather out here has sucked for a week now.

Did you watch that game? Giant clumps of sod were flying up. Looked like the sod trays the Jets used.

running is only a weakness when ethier barlow is on the field.

Ball Control?
A whole lotta Kevin Barlow ?
I would have no Problem with that if we can sustain the Running game. Only thing is I don't think our O-Line is well suited (Right now) for this style of play.
Unfortunately, Neither is our pathetic D-Line. We need to play the style of D that we played in the 4thQ 2 weeks ago.
Barlow is a little nicked up so Today is a great opportunity for our Youngins to provide sustainable drives via RBBC....
They're young. Rested off a Bye. Why not?
....We can do this!

I watched the whole game, and you're right, but there was some grass there. It wasn't dirt painted green.

this is just perfect, we have our best chance to exploit a beat up Patriots defense and it rains like crazy.

I find it quite amusing that we can actually have a discussion about grass that can not be smoked.

The weather is bad news for the Jets. It is a running game type day and that plays to the Pats' strength and the Jets' weakness on both sides of the ball. I think there is a very slim chance for a Jet win today.

I'm 15 minutes from that stadium. Just stuck my head out the door. It's wet, but it doesn't seem to be raining right now.

well, this will give the Chad fans(as opposed to Jets fans) an excuse for his poor play today, at least.

Did anyone see the fog on the Patriot's last kickoff? It was insanely thick. My friend was convinced Gillette Stadium has a fog machine.
