McCutcheon, a pitcher, got 50 games for taking a performance-enhancing drugs. Not a big-time prospect so no one cares that much.

Screw this. Once a guy gets caught now, it should be an automatic ban for life. It's been long enough now for guys to get clean. No more excuses.

13th round pick by us this year. Has some talent, hopefully that wasn't all due to drugs. Damnit.

It's amazing how many small fries are still getting busted for this. Obviously, IMO, the MLB is protecting big names, and just picking on the small guys but they keep using the drugs anyway.

He should fit right in with the big boys then..

Dwight Gooden and Darryl Strawberry took real drugs while playing for the Mets.If times were different they would have never lasted in the big leagues as long as they did.

Ummm, what does that have to do with this thread?

Might be an OTC medicine, atleast that's what PinstripesPlus was saying. Hopefully that's the case, he has been pitching great, looks like he could be a real prospect.

This is about the Yankees prospect, and yisman didn't try to make this a Yankees vs Mets thing. This Yankees/Mets shit is getting tiring on this board, people need to stop trying to turn every thread into that.

Understood and no Yankee fan here. But when bad things happen to the Yankees all the Mets fans come out of the woodwork.Gooden and Strawberry are the originators of drug usage in New York.

Keep me posted on all that. If any of them are any good they'll be traded for the next 40 year old pitcher to come along.

Don't waste your time Mack, save it for the people who actually have some knowledge of the situation.

Who was the last BIG prospect we traded that ended up being good?

Mark Prior... i'd rather not have him with all of his injury problems

Ugh. The Yankees never traded Prior. They never even signed him.

OK troll, this thread has nothing to do with the Mets. You seem to have a serious reading comprehension issue, judging from your posts in various threads.

I don't know what the hell you're talking about. I heard on the news that a prospect testing positive for something and got suspended. So I posted it.

Then you start trolling about Gooden and Strawberry.

"Gooden and Strawberry are the originators of drug usage in New York."

No one can possibly be that stupid, right? Right?

Well, I wouldn't even count Prior there. He was just a guy they didn't sign. Kind of comparable to an exclusive rights free agent in the NFL.

Jetfanmack

How can you possibly count Prior? People draft guys all the time that they can't sign or that choose college. It's like saying the Yankees traded John Elway.

Prospects off the top of my head that we've traded that have reached the majors:
Wily Mo Pena
Yhency Brazoban
Brad Halsey
Dioner Navarro
Brandon Claussen
Eric Milton
Christian Guzman
Brian Buchanan
Jake Westbrook
Zach Day
Ricky Ledee
Michael Coleman
Ed Yarnall
Brian Reith
Ted Lilly
John-Ford Griffin

Group of stars right there.
