Should be a good one tonight live from Camden Yards.

Randy Johnson

vs.

Bruce Chen

Chen is crap, hopefully Johnson can bounce back tonight after the 19-6 loss Saturday.

I will give you guys my thoughts when I return tonight after the game.

Hope you all watch and enjoy!

Since the Yankees are facing another lefty, expect to see Craig Wilson in the lineup.

My projected lineup:
Johnny Damon, CF
Derek Jeter, SS
Bobby Abreu, RF
Alex Rodriguez, 3B
Jason Giambi, DH
Jorge Posada, C
Craig Wilson, 1B
Nick Green, 2B
Melky Cabrera, LF

Anyone know when Cano will be back?

I'm praying soon, but it doesn't look like it. He is rehabbing in the minors right now I think. He was supposed to be back just after the Yankees played in Toronto after the All-Star break, but that didn't work out.

Here is what the NYY web site says:
In other injury news, second baseman Robinson Cano (strained left hamstring) is expected to play a rehab game for Double-A Trenton on Thursday, and if all goes well he could rejoin the Yankees next week in Chicago.

He played for the GCL team yesterday, and is playing the weekend series in Trenton. If all goes well, I'd guess sometime mid-week.

Dude, give him a break. He is still having one of his best seasons in the majors. Plus, his D has been so solid this year, even Randy had to give in and pitch to him.

Craig Wilson is the man. Getting him for only Chacon was a big time steal by Cash Money.

It's a little depressing when there's runners on 1st and 3rd, 0 out... and Miguel Cairo is up. Miggy, whatever you do, don't hit into a triple play or anything. If anyone can do it, you can. Infact, just don't swing at anything. We'll sacrifice the out.

By the way, this is the first time I can remember in 5 seasons of YES that only one guy is doing the game. Not trying to start rumors, but I did hear that Kay went totally crazy on his radio show today when a guy called in and told him not to mention no hitters or perfect games because he was superstitous, and Kay went off on a total rant that ended up with him comparing that comment to slavery and Nazi Germany.

It's reached the point where I just want him gone altogether. However, I think he'll be back next year, and I can't imagine Torre making Johnson a middle reliever, nor can I see Johnson accept it without bitching. It's not a bad idea, though.

AMJets

I was thinking, Torre really did get punished for using Farnsworth. He brings Farns in when it is totally unneccessary, Farns gets hurt, they then have to call up an extra reliever, and the player who has to go as a result is Torre's favorite "scrappy" player, Bubba Crosby.

Well, Randy needs to accept that he is not like Clemmens or Schilling. His time has come and gone. He promised he would be fine when the weather got hot, and it's been sweltering for long enough now. He just doesn't have it anymore. Unless he learns an offspeed pitch and can use it effectively, he is done.

Johnson should not be starting the 6th with 81 pitches under his belt. That is not what he is being paid for.

And yeah, this is depressing.

Good! It's hard enough holding on to our records. Consecutive games, most career HRs, most season HRs.

This has to be one of the hardest records in sports to break though.

Hell yes, the Yankees win.

Not the best game, but alot of fun.

Nice to see Rivera with the save.
