The interior looks cool, but that exterior is awful.

Retractable field for the field can be moved for other events
Smooth panels on the outside to give a futuristic look
Retractable dual roof with air pores to help with climate control and help give the stadium an outdoor feel while the roof is closed
Inside looks like Detroits to an extent

And this is set to open this coming season WOW they built it fast. But they get good weather year round for construction!

Cardinals Stadium
After several years of debate, in August 2002, the Arizona State Tourism and Sports Authority voted to build a new stadium in Glendale, AZ for the Arizona Cardinals. Once complete, the facility will become the second NFL stadium to have a retractable roof. At a cost of $355 million, the stadium will not only feature a retractable roof, but will feature a retractable side and field that moves in and out of the structure. The field will move out of the stadium so the grass will be able to absorb more sunlight. The stadium will be built on 28 acres, that will be turned over to the sports authority, while the district will own the remaining 152 acres on which parking, parks and amenities will be built through privately issued bonds. In order to build the stadium the Cardinals will pay for 25% of the stadium, $109 million, including cost overruns; while the state Tourism and Sports Authority will pay for 75% of the stadium. The Cardinals will also buy the land that the stadium will be built on at a cost of $18.5 million.
Construction of the Cardinals stadium began in July 2003. Originally expected to be completed in time for the 2005 NFL season, the stadium will now open in August 2006. The new stadium will feature a modern futuristic look and will seat 63,000 fans for football. The capacity will be expandable to around 73,000 for other events at the stadium. The natural grass field will be contained in a retractable, 12-million pound tray that will be 234 feet wide by 400 feet long. Not only will the stadium be the home of the Arizona Cardinals, but it will host the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, future Super Bowls and NCAA Final Four Championships.

We must have endzone seats. Uper deck in the endzone best place to watch a game from a true fan persepective - you get to see holes open and plays develop.

Why the heck do they need a retractable roof AND something that slides the field outside to get more sunlight? Wouldn't the open roof accomplish that? Maybe they should make a turf layer that can slide into place just in case the field doesn't get enough sunlight. Then maybe they could have a second grass field just in case also. Oh, and a second stadium in a sunnier part of Arizona just in case. ;-)
