how does one get tickets for the nfl draft? do they sell them on ticketmaster of can any one just show up? i wanna go sit with the jet fans and cheer or jeer their picks

I'm not entirely sure about how you go about getting tickets, but I'm pretty sure that the draft will be at the Jacob Javits Center, not MSG.

Last year it was at the JJ. I think it will be there again.

As for tickets:

The only ways to get them in advance are:

1)Get a press pass.
2)Have gone to the draft previously and signed up for Day 2 Diehards. Maybe ask around and see if someone you know stuck around until the end last year.

Otherwise, the only way is to go and wait on line. On Saturday, you won't get in very quickly. On Sunday, though, get there an hour early and you should be able to get inside for almost the entire 2nd day.

2006 NFL Draft Date, Time, Location, Tickets, etc

The 71st annual NFL Draft will be held in New York City on April 29-30, 2006. Rounds 1-3 will begin at 12 Noon EST, Saturday April 29th. Rounds 4-7 will follow on Sunday, April 30th, starting at 11am EST.

Venue and ticket information will be released following the Super Bowl.

ESPN will televise the draft from noon on Saturday until 7pm with ESPN2 taking over coverage for the rest of the day. On Sunday, ESPN will televise the draft from 11am - 1pm and ESPN2 will carry the remainder of the seven rounds.
