Son of a bitch. And last night Cashman was saying that Cano was getting better fast.

He's been our most consistent hitter other than Jeter. This is another huge loss.

Will Joe make Cairo bat 2nd for a week? Probably. Ugh. I'd rather have Nick Green play 2nd if we still have him, and see what happens.

If they did, then they would of had to opened a spot on the 40 man roster to do so.
They should of brought up Escalona.

Wow. I was just checking the 40 man roster and noticed that Posada and Stinnett are the only 2 catchers on it.
We really better pray that nothing happens to Posada where he is out for an extended amount of time or we are doomed.

Cano, the leading vote getter at his position for the AL All-Star team, was put on the DL retroactive to Monday. New York called up infielder Nick Green from Triple-A Columbus to take his roster spot.



I think Nick Green can be a solid replacement. The article also says that Cano will probably not be out any more than 15 days.

To be honest I think that Cairo is better than Nick Green. Neither is gonna hit more than .250 and play solid defense for the next 2 weeks. If we can't find an upgrade, let's just leave Cairo be and work through it.
