I made a signature for myself that I wanted to use recently in Photoshop, but when I saved it with any decent level of quality, it's file size came out way higher than the limit that TGG allows (it was 47k I think for level 8). I had to knock it way down to level 2 just to get it to go through, and as you can see, the quality of said signature is rather crappy (look below).

What can I do to make the file size not get quite so insane? Maybe it's just because i'm hosting it through imageshack, do they bump the size somehow?

For comparison's sake...
This is what I would like it to look like:

And this is what I had to make it:

Any help is appreciated.

GH, there is a program, called Ken Ward's Makeup that does what you're looking for. Unfortunately I can't find the link to get him.

When you save it, use "save for web" make the option a jpg and just lower the quality. Watch on the bottom left of the window, it will tell you the size of the file as you decrease the quality button.
