Anyone play Far Cry?

I was thinking of getting Far Cry for 360,are the Far Cry games worth it? What are they compareable to? I am a fan of Halo,Red Faction,Half Life,so if it's anything like them.....

never played them... saw the commercials for the one.. then went to rent a game and saw there were two of them the other day... just the fact that they pushed 2 out that fast makes me think they aren't good
