it's the same way round 1 started. He created all of them, and then waited to open them up.

I'm just keeping in line with when they should open. Actually, the reason I make them early is because they're time consuming and don't want to leave them all till the end...so I make them, and lock them, and open them when it's time to.
The unanticipated result of this was the suspense caused by it. People see the polls and get excited, and the chatter starts nice and early, which is something I like since it's good for the BS Bowl.

I've got an idea...
what if somebody (maybe even multiple posters) post the links to each indivsual profile (in each of their polls) so we can see them and their history?
That way we don't have to click member list and find each one every damn time...

That doesn't really do anything now, since all the posts before mid-February were deleted when the board crashed.

Well I was more thinking...
If you can't seem to remember a person by name all that well, you could just go to their profile and see their ave/sig.....and maybe post history for the past month or 2.....

ehh, I think that people who don't know most of the contributions of most of the posters here shouldn't be voting in the first place. But in any case, it's hard enough to start all of these polls, and I think that posting links to message history is a huge waste of time for the most part. If people are unsure of some of the matchups, they can check histories themselves. That's not my responsibility. I think at least 80% of the voters know the Who's Who thing already at this point.

The thing is, people who aren't familiar do vote, so for them, it might be worthwhile to have links up.

I was actaully hoping the people that we were voting on would take the initiative of doing that by talking about their OWN contributions to the BS forum in one of the 500,000 threads in this forum. That's not my responsibilty. It took me nearly an hour to get all the polls up, it would take me another hour and a half just to find and post the links. There are 64 people left in this tournament, it would be a lot more efficient if people do that on their own.

So I should start a thread talking about myself? I thought we weren't supposed to be campaigning outside of certain threads.

There is a "Talk Yourself up" thread somewhere in this forum. You can also post in the thread of your matchup once the polls open.

You shouldn't need to. It's an award, not an election.
When do the round 2 polls open?

The real reason is that they needed the number #2 seed to return from vacation and he has.

Of course I shouldn't need to. But wouldn't you say that it's important for all the voters to know the candidates?

MisterMoss said tonight, likely before midnight.
C'mon.
Let's light this candle!
