SixFeetDeep joined this site in January 2007.
If the award takes into account people who joined in 2007 and improved as that year went on, then he can be included.
However, I figured the award could only be awarded to posters who were here prior to 2007.
Hopefully, someone can clear up the confusion.

Jetcane is clearly eligible because he joined in August 2006.

Sure, Jetophile is back. I would opine she has not improved, however. She's almost exclusively shtick now, a caricature of her 2005 and 2006 days.

I don't yet have a person to nominate for this award. You have to try to find a poor or mediocre poster from 2006 who became a quality poster in 2007. That's a little tough.

I agree with Cakes. I really have no idea and it's pretty rare to find someone who starts off poorly but all of a sudden learns from his mistakes.

Maybe this should be a "Comeback Poster of the Year" award and we can give it to Jeto.

But now is getting reamed. No thanks to anyone that has to whip out the e-penis of all e-penis's, the" I make more than you do" one.

I seriously can not think of anyone that has improved this year. I would say maybe Bradwaysux as I understood where he is coming from which made him improve a million fold in my eyes. However he was pretty much always a decent poster and I just did not get him.

someone needs to link to where the thing with JoeJet bragging about his wealth or something came from. I've seen it referenced a few times.

Sixfeetdeep is not eligible...Jeto is, but if you are suggesting she get it because she came back, its not a valid reason to call her improved...you are thinking of an award we havent made up yet...

Jetcane is a perfect example....who was he in 2006...point in case..good nomination..

I was saying she should absolutely not get the award.

Ok I just wasn't sure because jeto's 2006 was nothing and 2007 was something but alright I see what you are saying.

I found an example:

I have to say something about the development of Twombles this year.

I think he had a shaky start, his posts rambled and he took shortcuts with spelling and grammar, things that annoy me. He said a few embarrasing things too.

Then there was the whole post whore thing when he jumped from 200 to 500 posts overnight to qualify for the sig. I'm sure he is not proud of that and it should win him that dubious award this year.

But I have noticed in recent months that he has been a really solid contributer who thinks before he posts and makes a big effort add quality BS to this forum. He put in a lot of work in the hottest chick comp which shouldn't go unrewarded, at least in this round.

That was SydneyDon.

for people who don't really know who to nominate for this award....this award is for someone who came on as a good poster in your opinion in 2007. It should be a poster that you recently started to enjoy chatting with or recently started reading their posts and thoroughly enjoy them. They however must be a poster that has been around at least 2 years...

Scikotics...

I hated his 13 name changes, but the young man has put forth a solid effort in all forums.
Even though i still think he is someone he is not...

Yeah, I agree. I was thinking about nominating him. Might as well go ahead and do it.

I nominate Scikotics.

I also will nominate Yisman.

Prior to the last few months, I thought Yisman tried to get under the skin of other posters much too often. I don't think he's doing that as often these days and that's why I think he's developing into one of the better posters.

I might get bashed for this, but I'm going to nominate champ.

This is not to say that he doesn't crack me up with his posts still, but he went from the most ridiculous poster on any messageboard I've ever seen, to actually taking part in some discussions and debates, and offering legitimate opinions here and there..

I guess it's pretty easy to improve from what he was, but he certainly has improved a bit...

I second that as well.
(This isn't a champ thread , but there is ALOT of baiting from posters who are out just to get one over on him , hanging around with the playground bully stuff)

Not to derail this thread further, but I think Champ has been getting a free ride from those who don't actively argue with him of late. He purposely baits people into arguments, then turns tail and hides for a few days when someone calls him to the carpet.

I can point to a thread in the Jets forum just a few weeks ago, where I made a mistake regarding how the league schedules games. My mistake was pointed out twice over the course of a decent period of time by two other posters, I acknowledged my mistake, and further posts occurred afterward, then Champ decided to point it out again, obviously not even bothering to read the entire thread before spouting off, then further escalating the situation by arguing that he was pointing out my mistake.

He doesn't even bother to read what people write, unless he's looking to start trouble. If you pay attention to what he writes, you'll see that he's always looking for an angle to start trouble.

Champ gets all that he asks for, nothing more.

I have to agree. Please someone show me where he gave a legitimate opinion. I am sorry I just do not see it. But I respect your opinions and the nomination but it just makes me want to say WTF..............

If it really annoys you That much , just rise above it and leave it.
What I find hysterical is that Champ knows exactly which buttons to push with you guys and the biting continues , its like shooting fish in a barrell for him.
