well, for those of you who don't know, 51pa got banned perminently for some hateful remarks towards MM on JetNation. i think hes the first to be banned from TGG on another forum.:lol:

He insulted JN right in front of their mods, then when we tried knocking sense into him, he cursed out Hiker and I and refused to settle down, and made a total embarrassment of everyone associated with this board. I've just about had it with him. There is no reason to have him around as long as he's gonna continually curse me out. I got tired of it, and I don't want to constantly change his diapers every other week. He asked for it (literally, he did). We'll see what happens with this.

Well, at JI it was a mixed reaction. Some of the resident trolls (Rude Polack and ThisisOurYear) bashed TGG, but the overall reaction wasn't too bad.

I am not questioning anyones banning, but it does seem odd that you get banned on one board for comments made at another totally unoffiliated board. If it was a problem then that would be handled by the mods of said board. I mean there are plenty of members who have had tirades about members of this board on other boards only to be allowed back to this board. And that seems right to me because whatever it is that they said was done on another board and in no way violated rules of this board. But I know that the mods of this board try to do what is fair for everyone, and thus I will always respect that.

Contrary to popular belief, I do have a soft heart. Back in October in the NCAA forum, I said some not so nice things about Notre Dame Football, and one of their fans here took great offense to that and really layed me out, if you know what I mean. Tony suspended him for two months, but that member went out of his way to contact me and explain what caused him to say that, and I totally understood. He didn't push for his suspension to be reduced, but I decided to cut it off a few weeks after hearing his case.

There is a certain amount of class that goes with something like this. That poster had no history of trouble, didn't bother any of the Mods with anything he had ever said, and took full responsibility for what he said. 51pa, while we enjoy poking fun at him since English is his 6th language and only language spoken :smile: , did more than one thing wrong at once while having an awful history. As far as I was concerned, he was on his last legs as it is. He got a separate warning not so long ago after being suspended a few weeks prior to that. He's had enough chances. Some people give me reasons to understand or forgive them, but he didn't at all.

With that being said, two more things: Yes, I did feel awkward doing something like this on another forum, but it was blatantly obvious. People get suspensions extended to bans after they curse out Petro in follow-up emails, so not everything is based upon what is said on the actual forums itself. Also, there is a remote possiblity that he's let back in. There are times Petro feels like doing so, but that decision is many, many months away.

Actually, the owner of that site keeps adding more and more stuff. There are little "perks" that I think are cool over there. The fact they have a BS forum called "The Twilight Zone' is just like being in the BS forum here. There is also a "No-Tos" section for members where you can curse someone out. It's just a fun place to visit. Moderators are hilarious over there, and very few posters are thin skinned. I laugh out loud at least twice a day from what I read there, and everyone is really cool.

For a rival team site-they do a great job.

The posters here are cool too.

Your point is one I did not see, but I do agree. If they were to do the similar on the Jets side, it would probably be appropriate for a 3 day time out. That, I guess, would be post whoring in it truest. I know I have a lot of posts since joining. That is mostly because I am bored with my job. The new job should cut down on my posts.
