Who do you think can help out a team, but isnt at the top of their position. you dont have to fill out a team, just name players who you would consider sleepers.

I agree with Free. I think he will be a mainstay on somebody's line for a while.

^ depends on his year in his SR. season. He had a great season this year, but you don't know if he will produce the same numbers again.
Look at Stanton. He was arguably top 3 QB's before the season, but a poor season by MSU dropped his stock.

If that is what defines a "sleeper", I'll note some of the guys I mentioned in kinghenry89's thread. There I mentioned several players who are not currently considered the best at their position.

Back in a Yahoo fantasy baseball league in 2002 a few of us got to talking about the NFL draft.

I listed Deion Branch and R.J. English (Pitt receiver) as two sleepers.

Another guy jumped all over me for that. He vehemently said that neither of them were sleepers, that everyone knew who those two guys were. I responded by saying, "They are sleepers because they are not projected to be first day picks." The guy then wrote that I was defining the term "sleeper" incorrectly. Maybe I was. I don't know.

As it turned out, Branch did go on the first day. He went in the 2nd round to New England.
English is still sleeping. He didn't get drafted and never played in the league.

I personally don't think that a sleeper needs to be somebody who doesn't play for a big team or projects to be a 7th rounder or something like that. In my mind, somebody like David Irons or Tyler Palko is a sleeper because they will be better players than most everybody thinks they will be. That's it.

A sleeper is someone who overachieves considering where they were drafted. If Leon Washington was taken in the 1st round he wouldn't be considered a steal because he would have been expected to do what he is doing. However he was taken in the 4th and is doing far better than anyone ever thought.

Rhema McKnight sounds like the female lead of a UPN sitcom.

QB:Jared Zabransky

No offense, but I don't think we'll ever hear from Zabransky after that statue of liberty play. The horrible interception that almost cost Boise the game shows why (he doesn't play smart and he doesn't really have the arm to make up for it.)

I love Dwayne Wright out of Fresno State. He's kinda like Frank Gore in the sense that he will fall in the draft because of knee injuries. Most scouts have him going in the fourth round do to injury concerns but from what I've watched his knee doesn''t seem to be bothering him at all. He's pretty explosive still, is fast, and really powerfull when he runs. He runs angry. Would be perfect for the Jets.

pretty good list but i see real potential in alot of those players. Especially, Smith, McKnight, Carriker, Burgess, Bichop, Meriweather.

only 1 or 2 names I dont know of.
