View Full Version : Suggestion: Hold off on the Poster Awards

I like the poster awards and everything, but we shouldn't be doing them now.... It's the day before a playoff game, and if someone goes to the front page of the site, all you see are links to threads about poster awards, nothing about the games.....
Why don't we wait till either the middle of the week or for our season to be over?
The average visitor to this site doesn't care much about the poster awards, just wants to talk Jets football, and if it's someone new to the site, that may turn them away...
Just a suggestion...

Nominations: January 6-January 20
Awards: January 21-February 3
Winners announced: Super Bowl Sunday
you dont have to do it today.

Yes I agree. Plus then it would add something else to do for the off-seasons. Rather then just talk about on how to improve the Jets for 3 months.

Yeah I know but if they're there, people will post in them, and there's so many of them, they'll dominate the front page...

I agree, the voting turnout won't even be half as much as it would during an offseason week.
