Have you seen what the stadium roof looks like?! Amazing concept. It's on tracks and roll between the football stadium and a baseball field. Pretty wild idea.

Yep. Looks like their new stadium may be done right around the time they begin rebuilding.

Strange how my mind works, though. My first thought was how Lamar Hunt will be worm food by gametime in 2015, and Superbowl week will be nothing but a Lamar Love Smother, much as it was with Fatass Bettis this year. I'm preparing myself accordingly. Remember how people used to build bomb shelters? I'm building a bullshit bunker, stocked with a broadband connection, a television, and a truckload of Bosco.

Wow, that roof idea is a crazy concept, and from the looks of it, the roof won't cover the whole stadium. There seem to be spaces between the actual roof and the building. That would be pretty cool to have a BBQ-Kansas City SuperBowl.

They decide who's going to host SB XLIX already? That's pretty crazy.

Well a city like Kansas City has to improve their infrastructure as well, they need plenty of time to attract hotels and most likely improve their highways and other major roadways.

K.C. to host 2015 Super Bowl if renovations approvedAssociated Press

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The NFL announced Sunday that Kansas City would host the 2015 Super Bowl if voters approve a tax to renovate Arrowhead Stadium.

Commissioner Paul Tagliabue addressed a meeting of team officials and civic leaders by speakerphone from New York, where he was involved in negotiations on a contract extension with the players union.

Tagliabue announced late last year that Kansas City would get a Super Bowl if the renovations were made and if a rolling roof was built to make Arrowhead Stadium climate-controlled. On Sunday, he announced the owners had voted to make Kansas City the site of the 2015 Super Bowl if the stadium is renovated.

Jackson County voters will vote on two propositions on April 4. A 3/8-cent sales tax would raise more than $500 million for renovations to Arrowhead and the Royals' Kauffman Stadium. A separate tax would raise about $200 million to build the rolling roof, which would be used for both stadiums.
